BerkleyGulp! Alive! Swimming Mullet Saltwater Fishing Soft Bait

one of the 10 best baits ever made!!
Gulp Alive is a fish catcher to be sure. It's best to buy the 1/2 or full pint as this is the most cost efficient way of using Gulp. To me the liquid in the jar smells like pickle juice yet the fish bite and don't let go. They can be used in both fresh and salt water. Smallmouth bass jump all over these grubs with the best colors being white and chartreuse. Use them on a jig spinner with an 1/8th ounce jig head. Black sea bass and fluke munch these grubs in the salt. I like using a drop shot rig with a heavier weight ( 1 ounce or more depending on current ) with a Neko 1/0 hook. The one thing to remember about Gulp is to NEVER leave it on a hook when not in use as the bait will dry up. Put it back in the jar. This bait also is a fine spinnerbait trailer and can be added to a swim jig. If you have not used Gulp yet, what are you waiting for?

4 in gulp minnows are too soft compared to 3 In
Accidentally purchased the 4 in minnows instead of the 3 in .A little softer than the smaller ones, didn't work too well at Dana Point Jetty during low to high tide but caught fish using other smaller plastic 3 in i had from walmart packs, I recharged them in the juice that was in the little canister. At this jetty the minnow was too big for the type of fish out last week , but this would probably work awesome on a deep water trip with probably two strikes per minnow as they are soft .Decent price, will keep for deep sea fishing

Best Saltwater Artifical Bait
This stuff is killer for fluke/flounder. Does seem a little soft and wish it lasted longer, but thats ok because it catches fish.4 stars because the container it comes in is pretty useless. It leaks. Discard the container and transfer everything to a mason jar.

This isn’t a bucket.
Product description states 12.5oz BUCKET. No picture provided. This isn’t a bucket. Yet other Gulp product I.e. shrimp is shown in a round bucket with a metal handle.

These work! My go-to brand of lure.
Have never had as much fun using other swim baits. I don't know what it is, maybe the gulp scent, but fish seem to love em. Some times you don't even need a jig head. Slap it on one and I'm telling you, you can't keep fish off these. Drums, Specks, Bass, Bream, they all are attracted to it. The only downside is the tail will come off if you get a hard nibble from a wandering Catfish. This means you may need to go through one or two before you land a good bite.

Not tough material as it once was
The quality of this size gulp is different from the 5 inch, These are soft and not strong as they once were, would not buy again and cannot find the 5 inch in a similar container at a bulk price and quantity

Great tail action
Saw a few reviews saying they are stiff and don’t have good action but I thought they worked great. They were a little softer then expected, had a few bitten clean in half, but still got a lot of hits using them. As long as you keep them in the container they won’t dry up, will be buying again.

I had brought the smaller packs and loved it . But for some reason these came in and the tails are stiff and doesn't have that natural fishy look in fact the tail is so stiff there is. No tail action . Wasted my time and money . I used one and didn't bother to use it because without the tail action this plastic is useless . Very disappointed!!

dark chartreuse might work better.
I've bought chartreuse swimming mullets in the bags before, and those were bright chartreuse. These ones are more drab and darker, and they look speckled for some reason. But, theres a ton of them in here and for 11 bucks its still a steal. If I paid full price I'd probably be pissed, but who knows, dark chartreuse might work better.
