A perfect teaching book for new investors
What this book teaches is wonderful for someone who has no idea what mutual funds are. I especially liked the way this author presented the information without overwhelming his readers. The book begins with saying what mutual funds are and their details as to their management, fees, advantages, and disadvantages.Later on, it talks about their risk elements, more details as to fees, tax advantages and the importance of the prospectus that comes with them. It also mentions what mutual funds are not, which I thought was a good move as most investment items are similar in some way.The presentation of the information is clear and the language is factual and to the point, and the information becomes more detailed as one reads on.I enjoyed reading this book very much, although most of the information was not new but it proved to be a good review for me.

Too Short but so Sweet
The book is so Short, I read the whole thing in one day. However, I liked that the author mentioned things that were not mentioned in other investing books that I have read. The author does things like say "Now let me tell you what a mutual fund is not" which gave me new insight and deeper understanding of Mutual funds. Short and Sweet. This book is all about Pros/Cons/Types and Tips in regards to Mutual Funds.

Easy to understand
Very easy to understand, which is essential for a topic like this, especially for a person like me who's looking into investment options but finds all the information too overwhelming. This book offered an easy to understand guide, orienting me first on the basics of mutual funds, what I need to know about it, and what are the advantage and disadvantages. Then it took me on baby steps as to how to proceed when I already decide to put my money in it. It's very helpful, and timely as well as I'm actually looking for ways now to make my money work for me. Highly recommended read.

This "book" is not worth half its price
There's nothing you're going to learn from this booklet that you wouldn't learn reading articles on Investopedia for about 15 minutes. If you feel you've got a lot to learn about mutual funds, put the sawbuck this thing goes for toward something far more informative, like Eric Tyson's Mutual Funds for Dummies.

Has potential.
This is a quick read. Might be referred to as pithy. I have it 4 instead of 5 stars because the author gave no examples. When the text says go to the SEC site and check X. A screen shot or two would bee nice. When the text says check this location, factor, wedsite, show us an example.A photo is more definitive than a word picture, after all this is not a romance novel.

Not much substance
It was easy to understand. However, the book is very short and very general. You can probably find all this information on Wikipedia.
