I have in use Jk uni direct lapel microphones intended for wireless systems and does normal not work attached on the LavMic. Talking about mono, well to get them work, is used 3.5mm stereo to mono jack adapter. You ask for 2 in 1 3.5mm microphone Jack output: Using stereo splitter adapters, please use this logic. The lavmic is not top, the left and right audio tracks cannot be adjusted. Nevertheless, the Lavmic performs well in both mono and stereo. Your question is easy to test.
