Last month I bought another brand of backpack for my daughter, Scothen backpack cooler, it came with 12 ice packs that lasted 3 hours and was very light, I would recommend it! **Q: What's the difference between the "solid" and the "ice packs" patterns? I cannot see a difference in the picture or the description. Restocking?** A: The description lists solid and ice packs as a pattern so I don’t think there’s any difference in the type of product. I ordered the green and they are perfect for lunch box/small coolers. **Q: Can these fly on an airline** A: Yes you can fly with these on a plane. But there are specifications. If it's in your checked baggage NOT carry on you can have as many as you want. Now for your carry on luggage, as long as it is completely frozen you can have as many as you want but again must be 100% frozen. If it is partially thawed then it no longer is considered a solid but now a liquid. And as a liquid it must be under the 3.4 ounce allowed and in your 1 quart sized bag for liquids. And I'm not sure how much liquid they actually contain.
