Love this light for its simplicity. I have this (60A)22.5" light on a 20 long fish only aquarium which is only 12" deep, but 30" long. I have it sitting on top of the glass cover and it is plenty bright, even in the corners. I had a Nicrew that failed just because of a power outage. This light is smaller, and much simpler with no power switch or fancy adjustable lights or dimming. But it feels so much more solid and the lights seem brighter. I have it on a simple wall timer. Time will tell, but everything feels more solidly built. It is made in Korea which is known for high quality products. Twinstar apparently makes a lot of more expensive lights. This is their most basic light, but it meets my needs and I want a fixture that will last.

I see a lot of reviews on how this light is overly bright, but thankfully I already had these extenders that fit perfectly into this light bar. I also already have a smart plug that I have on a timer, so it cuts on and off the same time as my second tank. If you’re worried about it being too bright, I highly recommend the risers, so this light isn’t sitting directly on top of the water. Alternatively, you can electric tape over some of the LED nodes to cut down on some brightness. Overall this light is incredibly well made and durable. Might also buy a smaller one for my cube betta tank!
