Hält was er verspricht

No more lost or thrown bottles!
I bought two of these cages to put on the back of my triathlon bike. Every other bottle cage I’ve had would eject my water bottles when I hit a bump at any significant speed. These cages hold my bottles tight, regardless of how full they are, and are easy to get the bottles into and out of. I got them in time for my most recent Ironman bike leg and couldn’t be happier with how well they work. At $75 a piece, it’s a steep price for bottle cages, but if you are a serious cyclist and don’t want to have to worry about your bottles bouncing out while you’re racing, descending, or just riding on a rough surface, it’s worth every penny.

I should have bought this sooner
After 3 cheaper bottle cages broke from the harsh impacts seen by a behind-the-saddle bottle carrier, I finally splurged on the X-Labs Gorilla cage. It’s worth it. * Grip strength is strong, so no need to try to re-shape the cage to hold tighter * Grip strength is not excessively strong, I can still muscle a bottle out of the cage while pedaling * Carbon design makes it likely immune from the kind of fatigue failures that aluminum cages have * The grip is spread out over a large area of the bottle, unlike many cages that only grab the bottle in one location. This makes the grip more secure and less likely to change based on a bump or bending * Fits very well the Zefal Magnum 33oz bottle * Made in America!

No bottle drops
I use these cages on a rear saddle mount. Over the years, I've used multiple brands of bottle cates, and the biggest issue for all of them is bottle ejection, e.g., when you go over railroad tracks or on rough gravel. I've been using these for a full summer/fall season and haven't had a single ejection. Yes, they are a premium cost, but there's little more annoying (and potentially dangerous) than finding out that you lost a bottle without knowing it or having to turn around to find one because you sent over some railroad tracks at close to 30 mph... To me, the extra expense is well spent.
