Can you get refills that are waterproof

Just wondering, but can you switch between cartridges during mid-use and then switch back? Or do you have to finish one up before switching?

You could switch and I would keep the ink cartridge upright so no ink would leak out. Also, the pen nib would need to be cleaned accordingly.

What are the cartridge dimensions? I need a cartridge to fit a vintage Lodis fountain pen.
