Love this bag
We recently packed up our kitchen and drove 3 days out to visit my in-laws during COVID for the holidays. I like having all my knives and cooking utensils with me and I managed to safely pack all my knives, kitchen scale, ravioli tray, garlic press, lemon squeezer and rolling pin all in this bag. I love that it looks like a computer bag and makes me feel less crazy for carting all my kitchen stuff with me. But I always hate how crappy the Airbnb kitchens are. I know this may be a niche review, but we all do strange things during the pandemic.

Exactly what I expected
This bag is fantastic, before I start I was almost deterred from purchasing due to the few the negative reviews you will read, these negatives are basically from either the customers lack of attention to the details of the product before purchase, or what I would assume to be a generally negative attitude.I recently enrolled into culinary school but I am 36 years of age and I worked as a carpenter/drywall finisher for the past 7 years until an injury, hence culinary school, but my point is I've have plenty of bags to hold sharp tools. I only received this bag today so I cannot necessarily speak on its longevity but based on the craftsmanship and materials used I'm guessing it will last a minimum of 3 years of normal use. I do have knife guards (obvious from the photos) but I would have those regardless of what bag I have since they are cheap and knives are expensive essentially. I say this due to the review I read about the velcro used to hold the knives in place. It's fine, it's durable, the stitching is done well and the material is what you would want for the price (basically it's not leather which would really be the only thing I think could add durability) but that would be at least three times the price and get that if you want to spend that. There is stability enhancers with padding between layers which other brands do not have as well. Even if you don't have the guards the bag will still hold up well, but yes a sharp knife will cut through it if you're not careful, honestly if your knife doesn't, regardless of the bag, get new knives. As for the space, it's precisely as advertised. My serrated knife with the guard is 16" long, which is the longest knife in the bag and it fits comfortably fo a bag that clearly states it will fit a knife that is 16" long. Also, if you want to, you can fit a knife that is a total of 18" on an angle as shown in the one photo (that knife is 16" with 2" to spare) and the knife will still be protected and really won't take up space for other tools. There is plenty of space for all of your basic kitchen needs plus extra (again, reference photos). I also read a complaint that the cleaver sleve "takes up too much space" for them I'd like to throw out a lesson in life, you can utilize space for other things if it's available. Look at the pictures, I know it's crazy but I put other things in that pocket and it worked!Overall, I really do not like when people give negative reviews when product come exactly as advertised and this dies. It's not cheaply made and at $100 it is precisely what it should be. The only minor complaint I would have is that the 2 outer clips should be about a half in closer to the outer edge on each side. This is completely esthetic and affects nothing, but it would look very slightly better but the bag is still amazing!

Holds up well
The only thing I dont like is that it couldn't hold my larger laptop but everything else is a perfect match. Very happy with it.
