The Umbrella Academy Library Editon Volume 1: Apocalypse Suite

Couldnt find it in stores due to the cover design. But found it online. good shape and quick delivery.

After watching the umbrella academy on Netflix (a must watch if you haven’t seen it) I decided I wanted to read the comics. I think that the Netflix show takes a different perspective from the comic book but I think both are gripping and wonderful. I really enjoyed this and am planning on buying the next volume: Dallas, which is featured in season 2 of the umbrella academy on Netflix. I really recommend this but if you have Netflix to first watch the show and see if you enjoy it because it’s not for everybody. If you haven't seen the Netflix show the comic alone may be quite confusing.So far I have given off that the book is confusing; even if it may be confusing at times I believe that the story is still gripping and kept me hooked (I had to slow down for fear of finishing it too fast). The artwork is astonishing in its own way and unlike anything I’ve seen before- by this I mean it has a very specific style and I think it works perfectly with the plot and characters.If you like superhero comic books buy this.If you are sick of superhero comic books buy this.If you have never picked up a comic book BUY THIS.

I watched the Netflix series and was truly impressed. Being a marvel reader I felt that this would make a nice change. The problem with marvel films are that they just don't capture the detail and plot lines of the books they are based on.Unfortunately the opposite is true of the umbrella academy. the comics are basic and the plot isn't anywhere near as enthralling as the series was. I don't feel that any of the characters have any depth to them. I actually was bored, shame

Very good condition. No issues with delivery. Not overly impressed with the story or art work. A bit confusing and overly complicated in places.

Got the books after watching the show! Definitely worth it. The art style is unique and pleasing, and the story is cool and still has the drop of comedy we all need for a good comic (by the way-the story isn’t ‘exactly’ the same as the series adaptation, but it’s still amazing)

I was really dissapointed, this story had so much potential, but it felt so rushed that it doesn't draw you into the world or give you time to learn about the characters or their lives. It's not bad, but I wish it had been extended across more issues.
