Vertical Comics After the Rain, 1

The art of After the Rain is beautiful, reminiscent of old-school shoujo manga. The protagonist is drawn with massive eyes and an excessively elongated body and neck. It's weirdly charming. The volume contains quite a few color illustrations which I was pleasantly surprised with.The premise is that of any romance piece of work, Girl falls in love with Boy at first sight. Except the boy in the story is her boss. She's 17, he's 45. Personally, I really dislike age gaps both in real life and in media. Since the protagonist is underage, it makes the topic even more touchy. However, this is acknowledged by the characters themselves in the story. Also, the author makes it a point to show that Boss isn't a creep or has ill intentions and that our protagonist is very mature for her age, making it....easier to accept their *possible* romance.At this point, I'm not sure whether they really will be in a romantic relationship, but what I can see is that they could help heal each other's broken dreams. I enjoyed reading it and will definitely buy the next volume.

Book itself is good and fine however arrived bent. Pretty sure it was amazon as they put it in a box with another item and the box was clearly too small for both as book arrived bent. I have flattened out and is still readible however was a gift for someone.

Again... Beautiful story, Really lovely artwork! But the publisher Vertical Comics didn't really do great on the translation, Some parts just didn't make sense, Please see my photos of the Vertical's(Darker pictures) and an Online translated version. I really hope this improves in the next volume :(

Loved the sweet story and the age gap is actually believable because they didn't make the boss pretty or young looking for his age which is refreshing. I like all the characters and the art work is brilliant. Have read this volume twice over, can't wait for the next volume.

Muita gente lê a sinopse e já descarta a obra. Dê uma chance a essa história. A autora não cai no clichê, nem nas obviedades. Apenas leiam. Belíssima história com diálogos (às vezes monólogos) que te farão refletir.
