If you are replacing a broken one like this, it is an easy swap. If you are installing one, make certain your hole size, and radio mounting are correct. It was a little tricky to install my head unit, and get the door to raise/lower correcdtly until I did some fine trimming.

Installed this on my boat to protect the radio. I was replacing a similar product that clipped shut instead of spring loaded like this one. The other type is actually.more expensive but I belive this one will last longer. The clip broke on the last one and it would not stay closed. Easy install, perfect fit and looks great.

Works great so far. It's just a litte flakey when closing completely. Sometimes it closes really tight (watertight) and sometimes it's just closed, but maybe not waterright. But generally a very good product and I would buy again. Fit my Boss radio perfectly.

Works as advertised.My only complaint is that it did not come with a cutout template.My original radio was an old school dual shaft/knob style.So this unit would require some cutting to install it.Easy enough fix though.Some quick measurements and 25 minutes on the 'ol 3D printer and I had a perfect template.The door operates very smoothly and it looks great in the dash of the boat.

Nice product that seals out weather elements! Installs easily and provides good support for stereo. Easy to open push latch as compared to my old cover which I had to pry open with my fingertips. Good build quality in the hinge and seal. My old cover broke in the hinge pins on each end. This has a stronger 3 point hinge that will hopefully last longer.

I bought this to use with my radio on my boat. I had to cut out a slightly larger opening to get this mounted but once I had it in place it worked very well and it looked amazing as well.

Seems stable once installed. Be careful if it's a tight fit on the install, because the springs will hang up, pop off, and go flying. Once it's in, it seems fine. I drilled a couple of extra holes through the sides to secure the radio into it.
