Use it every time I deep fry with no problems. I have also used it to check temperature of meat when I bake. It's easy to use and works well. I haven't had a reason to think that the temperature control doesn't work accurately. There have been times when the glass fogs up, but I don't know if that is an instrument issue or a me issue.
