My daughter needed this for an organic gardening class/club in college. It's a hefty book full of very good information

Fantastic book for any organic gardener, everything needed for successful healthy gardens! Illustrations lack a bit but makes up for the wealth of information.

Every topic is incomplete according to natural and Organic gardening.

Many years ago, when The Good Life was on TV, we moved into an ex quarryman's cottage in the depths of Northumberland, determined to do a bit of good living of our own. This included, of course, an organic garden. We ordered and planted the seeds, with high hopes and more than a bit of ignorance; and found that we were not the only ones who watched our plants with interest. First the rabbits, and then the insects, and more insects, and more insects.....and the fungi....arggh....we definitely needed help.I had known Rodale for their vitamins; so when I saw this book advertised, I sent for it in desperation - it was an American book, so I had no idea whether its advice would even be of any use here. However, I should not have doubted: it got us out of many a scrape while we had that garden. It didn't cover everything, but it covered enough to be very useful indeed.It's been a while since I had that garden; but I've just planted another, the first since that time; and the first book I knew I had to have was this one. It's been updated, of course, but I'm pleased to say it still keeps the sensible, informative attitude that made the original so good. Heartily recommended!

I love this book - it has so much wonderful information to assist any organically-minded gardener. Unfortunately, the back cover was creased due to poor handling during shipping. Content was fine, but the appearance of the book was marred.5 stars for the book, 3 stars for the shipping.
