Had an issue with the first one I received, but customer service took care of it quickly. The second one I received works perfectly. I like this sharpener better then the bigger, more expensive one offered by Blackwing.

This is a great sharpener! I have many pencil sharpeners and think they all have good and bad sides to them but this one is just good! Really happy I purchased this one!

I normally hate manual pencil sharpeners like this but I guess you get what you pay for. I've been able to get my pencil sharper than I even knew was possible. It's a beautiful thing.

Sharpens wooden pencils!

I love this sharpener. It has two sharpener holes so you can get a short regular tip or a nice long tip.

Will only use this sharpener on my pencils.

Sharpens my pencils super well and the length it sharpens them to gives me more control when I’m sketching!

The dual sharpener holes - one for cutting the wood and the gross shape of the graphite, and one for fine sharpening of the graphite's fine point - work beautifully, especially with some of the fine pencils now available - it had no idea of the possibilities of quality pencils until I recently happened on Blackwings, and this sharpener works perfectly with these pencils ... as do the metal point covers.
