Q: Can this be put on a sensory room floor

Yes you can we have had them on the floor but are now a waterfall on the roof in a sensory room

Q: does it come to plug into a normal socket ? As somone says you need an electrician for these is that true ?

No electrician is needed. The light come with a normal uk plug attached, ready to plug in.

Q: Do the plastic covers over the lights come off when children pull on them?

No had it nearly a year and daughter pulls them all the time and covers still on
