I've never used the firme, but unless you are trying to make your hair really high you should be ok either way. I wear my hair in a slickback and have no problems. It also reactivates with water if anything gets out of place. Just wet your comb and run it through your hair. **Q: How many ounces of the actual stuff are in there? If you want a super-strong hold get the firme hold. Price: $$/5 – Slightly more expensive than other pomades but definitely cheaper on amazon than in stores that carry it.
