LIFE CHANGING TRICKS
The are my favorite nails by far. If you want to read about why, skip to the end. If you care about the glue and making these last way longer, like crazy super forever long, thatâs first.MAJOR TIPS SO THEY CAN LAST 2 weeks - a month:1. The Beetleâs glue is the best, hands down. Iâve tried all the major ones, even super glue, and the UV/LED Beetleâs is Queen. Lasts 2 weeksish for me, but with the occasional pop off. Iâve never used a glue that didnât have that issue. That saidâŚ2. All nail glue sucks. Thereâs no way around it. Sorry. My issue is how hard it is to not get the stuff all over my fingers, nail beds, and the nail itself. Itâs impossible for me to get the nail on straight without adjusting, especially if you donât use mega long nails. SO, thereâs ALWAYS bubbles for me with any glue, making me the years long mayor of Popoff City. Maybe itâs me, but since all glue is liquidy, I can never hold the nails in straight in place, at the right angle and pressure until theyâre cured enough to stick on their own. MEGA MESS EVERY TIME. The devil always wins.3. âŚUNTIL I FOUND THE MIRACLE. Works every time. How did I not know about this??? Ok, so if you have to get glue, bet Beetleâs. If you want your nails to last pretty much forever⌠like, long enough to require an infill, easily 2, 3, 4 weeks with NO POPOFFS, chipping, or breaking, Iâm about to rock your world. Baby, POLYGEL is the new glue.4. Ever heard of the Lazy Girl Method? Thatâs cool, Iâm down, but it still requires meticulous drilling and filing underneath the nail extension so it isnât unnaturally thick an blobby. Sometimes psh whoâs for time for even that? Thus, I present to youâŚ5. âď¸THE SUUUPER LAZY LAZY GIRL METHODâď¸Like the OG LGM, this requires clear full cover press on false nail tips so the lamp can cure the adhesive. So my adaptation is this- use polygel as glue. Thatâs enough, but donât worry, thereâs more. For me, a Major Game Changer.. Just a lil 1 - 1.5 carat blob scooped from the tube with the base of the nail youâre applying. Or, you can use a polygel brush and isopropyl alcohol as slip to do an even hearty coat to either nail. Either way, the natural nail should be fully coated once the nail is on. Apply the same principles youâd use for nail glue. Not no much, apply the nail at an angle and roll the nail on to evenly distribute the polygel without bubbles. My favorite part? The nail STICKS WHERE YOU PUT IT, so adjustments are NO PROBLEM and you basically donât even have to hold the nail in place with your other hand under the lamp. As long as you donât pick the nail up off your finger and instead gently rock it for bubble control, youâre golden. If you apply too much polygel or too much pressure, itâll ooze out the sides and under the fingertip, just like glue. So donât. But with the thick, sticky polygel, you have WAY more control and can easily scrape off oozing excess with a cuticle pushed or whatever, and a wipe with isopropyl alcohol will remove the residue from your nail or skin.â¨BONUS TIPSâ¨*I find the BY FAR the easiest way to apply the nail with this method is to simply place the nail on, no pressure AT ALL, and wait a minute with your hand still. This lets the nail gently settle itself onto the gelled nail bed without oozing out the sides.*if you still have problems with spillage at the fingertip under the nail: dude, less gel and less pressure. If itâs too late for that, you can flash cure the nail while COVERING your fingertip from the light so that part doesnât cure. Then, when the nail stays on, scrape out and clean up the underside of nail before you finish curing.*You can encapsulate glitter this way! May want to do a thin layer on the other nail too, so it adheres just as strong without glitter gaps.*USE BUILDER IN A BOTTLE ON TOP and that thing will never chip and be rock solid and GLASSY.. A thin layer is all you need. If you painted the nails and the surface isnât perfectly smooth, use a second thicker layer and hold your hand flat upside down for 20 seconds before curing. It SELF LEVELS, so any wonkiness disappears. Magic. You can also apply gems ân stuff with it.* You can paint a French tip or whatever UNDERNEATH the nail before applying (just not the base). That way the surface stays perfectly smooth and you donât need to struggle for greatness worth left-handed painting.*Wherever thereâs wet alcohol, the nail will slip around and not adhere properly. So try to be sparing, and let it dry for 30 seconds or whatever before curing if you used any with the poly gel. If you use alcohol to clean up any extra around the applied nail before curing, try not to let it drip around the edges or *gasp* underneath the nail. âTwill fork up adhesion and the nail wonât last as long.*The polygel surface will stay sticky after itâs cured, thatâs normal. Just wipe with isopropyl alcohol 70-99% and itâll remove the tacky residue. This is NOT the same as nail polish remover!!! Make sure you do that before filing or drilling if you are shaping the nail or removing wayward polygel on the surface of the nail. Itâll gunk up your file is you let it stay sticky.*You can use any color poly gel, but my go tos are clear and natural pinky nude, like youâd use for a French tip. Opaques do take longer to cure.*If it grows out super long, you can easily infill with the same polygel.ABOUT THE NAILS THEMSELVESI got medium almond, and Grrl, theyâre looong. But Iâm not mad, for a few reasons. 1st, of all the nails Iâve bought on Amazon (Una Gella, Gootrades, Sally H, etc) these are the best, imo.Theyâre most similar to Markharttâs press on full coverage nail tips. Thick and STRONG, but still a bit flexiblish unless you crease them down the middle. To compare, Markharttâs short âballerina/coffinâ nails are basically as long as the Beetleâs medium âalmond,â just with the coffin tip cut out. Markharttâs have this funny fluted shape thing going on that just makes my nails look⌠well, kinda fat (not phat). It may be my own fault for having an unfortunate nail shape- spatulate/triangular with like 2x wider nail tip than base. Theirs make me look like the nails are too big and bubbled sideways where my finger ends- even if the size is too smallđ¤ˇđźââď¸. Beetleâs are flatter, and Markharttâs have more of an apex built in. I *thought that would be great because nail techs are ALL about that apex, but for me, it was problematic. I find Markharttâs REALLY difficult to shape or trim, I guess because of the weird fluted shape and apex. Iâve tried a million times, but if I try to narrow the sides into a shorter stilettos or whatev, theyâre always too convex and fat looking, or too concave and cat claw looking, but never straight. Basically, they look weird unless I trim Markharttâs straight across to top horizontally, effectively just making them square, not my fave. I guess the apex makes it that way? đ¤

Canât be RealâŚcanât believe it workedâŚawesome!
I should start this with I am 58 years old and have been wearing nails and acrylic etc since the age of 14 and painted my own nails before that ⌠so ⌠I am not shy about telling the truth - these are fail proof .. I fully expected it to be a disaster - a flop - a trash can deposit .. and another purchase to add to my nail collection that somehow left me underwhelmedâŚA few weeks ago I removed all my gel and still noticed a lot of damaged nail bed (not my own doing)âŚand noticed my thumb had a crack in the sidewall pretty deep so I embraced it took nippers and cut my nail all the way down. And below the edge of my finger. I couldâve left it nobody wouldâve seen it my nails are relatively short (professional length)âŚso on a twitch I cut all of them down YES so short the tips of my fingers were sore for about 3-4 days .. sometimes an impulse proves weâre not always the brightest crayon in the box .. but .. like hair itâs just nails they do grow..so by the end of the night I decided I canât have naked nails they feel weird and vulnerable ..so I took the tips out (theyâre full cover)matched them 100% sidewall to sidewall added PH Bond, a super thin coat of the nail gel (which is what is used for glue)..I purchased pre etched - didnât want dust in my mani went to town at lightening speed and slapped them on - did I have some air bubbles .. yup, I opted for that instead of flooding my cuticles with gel which causes lifting and even removed one tip (because it was crooked) by cutting it off and using a med grit nail file quickly filed the nail right off left a tiny layer because gel loves to stick to get and figured it would be my test to see compared to the others did it pop or break⌠the kit included the little light to cure it after they were on I cured them in my gelish pro lamp for appx another 30-60 seconds - the kit also included a great nail file and tip clippers .. hereâs where I screwed up I put them on then chopped them down to barely past my finger tip .. and then filed the edges ever so slightly to square them off ..I am 2 weeks out they look great and theyâre growing I was on travel all week and forgot to pack a emergency repair kit and light and didnât need it and got tons of complimentsâŚI am not good about wearing gloves and wash dishes at least twice a day etc. so this morning I was looking at them and figured they still look too good to take the time to redo my nails - but wanting a different look I buffed the surface smoothed the cuticle getting as tight as I could with the cuticle wth the same color and some glitter for accents and topped the others with Izzy Wizzie Letâs Get Busy on the others base color in the picture is DND Great Smoky Mountain accents (thumbs and ring fingers have a layer of DND Snow Way.. a fresh look perfect for Spring .. pics attached .. super strong no structure get etc needed no etching under tip needed no buffing surface of nail prior to polish application needed âŚwas I disappointed in this purchase?Nope - love it!!! The big extra is the kit gives you everything you need minus the polish .. you canât buy a basic mani for 20 this will make several sets and there are about 13 nail sizes from very tiny to wider and with the numerous sizes I discovered my nail beds are not the same on both hands very slight differences .. so itâs worth it .. theyâre not thick / brittle / heavy / soft (as are some press ons they get worn in the edges and some are âgummyâ there were some whiners saying there are too many small nails canât use them all and itâs wasteful - I would argue that the price is so insanely affordable youâre not wasting it or losing anything and Iâve read you can buy specific sizes individually from Beetles so any complaints are simply not valid!!! Get the starter kit so many shapes and sizes to choose from - and so much money to be saved from the out of control salon pricing - and the reasons Iâve divorced the salon are too many and too lengthy to get into here ⌠suffice it to say saving 200 give or take a month is fabulous and Iâm no longer annoyed by the signs of the last 20 asking for all tips paid in cash .. ya .. I pay taxes on every penny I earn ..and tip in cash yes most of the time I do - but to be asked why my daughter doesnât give her cash when I pay for it on my account - I was asked why donât you have her give me cash and you pay your daughter back!!! So if none of this behavior insults you - spend your money at the salon .. Iâve done it for decades and I would still do it if I enjoyed it but the truth was sadly I finally realized I donât enjoy it and doing my own has been a new little hobby that doesnât cost much looks bomb withstands housework animal care and a 60 hour a week busy job with heavy computer work!! Donât think about it just do it..I will get the square next time - pics included - 2 weeks old so now my mission is to see if they wear for yet another 2 weeksâŚmy money is on YES!

Great nail kit, easy to use!
As a former nail technician I have never used an easier method to achieve nail extensions fast and strong. I love this system and will not be using any of my acrylics anymore. No smell is a bonus ease of use is convenient. Love love love. Donât hesitate to try just remember the quality of you set is all in the prep. Take the time to prep your nails (plenty of videos on yt) and pre-file the underside of the nail tip so the gel has an etched surface to adhere to. Trick if the trade leave a little space between the cuticle and the tip. Buff the edge to not have a ridge and coat over the entire nail with builder gel! This will eliminate getting to close to cuticle and cause lifting.

Too thin and flexible tear easily
I love beetles all of their products. These tips are not strong however they bend at the top too much and are TOO flexible and soft and tear or break off quickly. I had at least 7 - 10 coats of gel this last time to see if that helped . Nope the first time only 3 coats. They didn't last a day. This time they lasted about a week.however, if I cut them down to a medium length I can get a month out of them and no breakage. They are just too thin and flexible at the tops
