Hello, thanks very much for your question. There really is not enough room to sit next to the Barrel on the Reformer carriage in a safe manner. I don't think we would recommend this use for the Arc Barrel on the Reformer

I imagine it is made in Canada as Stott equipment is very sturdy and the company is based in Canada.

Hi there and thanks for your question. The Arc Barrel that you are asking about has been in the Merrithew lineup for fifteen plus years. There is a new Stability Barrel that provides similar features and benefits. You can find it searching for Amazon part number B0137558OW
