Was really pleased to find this sugar free version chai syrup. You only need a small amount and it does taste very sweet. You do get the unmistakable chai flavour although it doesn’t give much colour to the drink so it can be hard to judge how much to add. As you only use a small amount, the value for money is good especially when you compare it to the cost of purchasing a chai latte on the go. I can see this bottle lasting me ages too.

I use this to reduce my sugar intake, it’s tastes just like a chai latte without the artificial taste you get with some syrups!

I understand that a sugar free product is never going to taste the same as a regular syrup, however this was undrinkable even using half a cap in a coffee resulted in a terrible artificial sweetener aftertaste and poor chai flavour, so I’m afraid it’s going in the bin. I would suggest that if you like a small amount of syrup in your coffee and you are ok with sugar then buy a regular syrup and just use a small amount each time. It may be that you are ok with the strong aftertaste of sweetener and this may be subjective. But please be warned!!

Would give zero stars if possible. Bottle opened without a noise, didn't seem sealed at all. Bottle content not like syrup at all very thin and runny, like water. Smelled very unpleasant, stingy and like alcohol, as if it had gone off. Tried to return or get replacement, but only got not eligible for either. Could have flushed those 13 quid down the drain. Very disappointed and will go back to Monin now, sugar and everything. At least you get what you pay for.

First off this had the consistency of water and although it is sugar free is very very sweet and taste 100x sweeter than any Costa or Starbucks Chai latte

There is a whiff of chai about it which is quickly overtaken by the artificial saccharine sweet taste. Imagine you have a lovely chai latte and then you put a couple of tablespoons of that half-spoon stuff into it? -that’s what this syrup tastes like.Why, oh why do manufacturers insist on making items labelled sugar-free as sweet as humanely possible? This is so sweet it made my teeth itch. Sorry, wouldn’t recommend.
