Pavarotti - The Man
Really interesting read. Any Pavarotti fan would find this a fascinating incite to what he was really like as opposed to your average biog. I couldn't put it down. Have lent it to a friend of mine who I hope will enjoy it just as much as I did.

Pavarotti - Up Close
It was a refreshing book, from someone who grew up with Luciano in Modena. As both of their careers advanced they became a support for each other. He (Magerie) as a Conductor, and Pavarotti as the greatest tenor. He sets aside a lot of the "stupid" things critics wrote about Luciano, and spoke from the heart, as to both their feelings on many things. They remained loyal, trusting, talented men and friends from Modena, until that date of: 09/06/07 when he heard the words: "He is gone". Very well written.

Pavarotti Up Close
A very informative book written by a man who was a life-long friend of Pavarotti. There was quite a lot of very technical information relating to the voice and singing opera -- which was over my head -- by there were many more stories and insights into Pavarotti's life and personality. When I started to read it, I thought it was going to be too technical (musically) for me to read, but I ended up enjoying it very much. I learned a lot about Luciano.

Insightful.
Well written. Insightful, interesting to know the man behind the amazing voice. Like us all, he was not perfect, but he left us with beautiful memories of music that will forever capture my heart.Just perfect, in my opinion. You are missed, my friend.A good read.
