This unrefined mango butter smells wonderfully natural, and it's a very subtle scent that won't influence your product much. It's a little harder than I expected it to be, but it does soften up once you hold it in your fingers. Although the jar is plastic, it's a nice sturdy one that can be reused after you finish all the butter. I really prefer the jar to the resealable bags of butter that I also own. The consistency of this mango butter is really luxurious and really moisturizes your skin well. This is an excellent choice if you're comparing different butters for purchase. Many of them are refined, with all the natural benefits stripped. This one is unrefined, providing you with all the healthy vitamins and minerals of natural mango butter. Great product.♡

Another disclaimer: I've only had this butter (unscented mango butter lotion) for a couple of days, BUT after reading some Amazon reviews and looking at the website (which I would highly reccomend checking out) I noticed a few things: What some people don't notice is: 1. The mango butter is unscented, it's not supposed to smell like anything except a very faint natural scent that won't overpower any other colognes or perfumes that you have at all. 2. This butter is organic and natural and only has ONE ingredient, which makes it hard in texture on its own and takes a while to warm up and apply to your skin (I've found that if you don't warm it up enough it feels sticky when applied to skin, but if you do warm it up enough its not sticky and works fine - this might explain some other reviews complaining that it's sticky) - WHICH IS WHY THEY HAVE RECIPES TO CREATE A DIY LOTION WITH THIS PRODUCT ON THE WEBSITE - its the trade off for buying a completely natural and organic product (which is completely worth it in my opinion since you're not absorbing toxic chemicals through you skin) If you go to their website (greanleafnaturals.com) And go to the blog section, there is a blog that is very helpful: Blog name: "Homemade Body Butters: Quick how-To Tutorial" Some content from the blog: Homemade Body Butters Ingredients List Green Leaf Naturals Mango, Shea or Cocoa Butter (Bonus: Green Leaf Naturals Coupon!) Carrier Oil (could be liquid or nearly-so ... like Coconut Oil, Wheat Germ, Jojoba or Avocado. More choices are listed below.) Optional: Essential Oils Directions: Melt Mango, Shea, Cocoa Butter (singly, or a combination) on medium heat in a double-boiler (2 pans, larger one holds a couple inches of water) to keep the butters from burning. When melted, allow to cool and set. You can speed this up by placing in freezer for ten minutes (but don't let it get hard). Whip with electric hand mixer for two minutes. Add other oils as you’re whipping, including your carrier oil and essential oils for scent. You can put this mixture in the fridge several times and whip again each time to create whipped-cream-like butter. When you whip your batches, use a '2 to 1 ratio' or a '3 to 1 ratio' of Mango, Shea or Cocoa Butter to carrier oil(s). An example of 2 to 1 ratio would be: ½ cup Green Leaf Naturals Mango, Shea, Cocoa Butter, or some combination, and ¼ cup of carrier oil. You can double and triple the recipes for giveaways. Without preservatives, we tend to err on the side of refrigeration. Plus, it just plain feels better on hot days. (To be continued on the blog) Don't write a bad review if you haven't researched the product or taken the steps to try and figure the product out! It's very unhelpful. I might update this review soon... Best, Seth

I had a severe allergic reaction after about 2 weeks of use; that's not on the manufacturer, it's my skin that doesn't like it. Reaction aside, good product, packaging, no fragrance, truly raw, melts into skin nicely.

I have only been using this for a few days. I have used it on my face, but I really bought it for my hair which is usually dry and frizzy/sometimes curly. I have to wash my hair everyday which is why it is dry. However I can tell my hair is loving this butter. It is keeping my hair moist and shiny and way less fizzy. As for my face, oh my makeup looks so smoothe. I really like the product. There is no scent as far as I can discern. The butter is not soft and creamy. It’s like any other body “butter.” You have to rub between you palms.
