Maximum Games Agony - PlayStation 4

Waste of money in it's current state
Played this for 30 minutes and stopped. There are way too many bugs that shouldn't be an issue on release day. The developers should have fixed this stuff before the game came out. Waste of money in it's current state.

Wait for patches first!
I'll be honest here, there is a LOT of potential IN Agony. I'm still playing through this game, but it does feel like a throwback to maybe a PS2 era game as far as gameplay goes. (UI, controls seem outdated, AI can be a little wonky) I can forgive some of this seeing as it wasn't a full priced $60 game, and I will say the atmosphere and sound is absolutely A+. It has a very unique setting, and it's excueted more or less flawlessly. I'd recommend waiting a bit for some patches first before buying. There are bugs (for instance the screen tearing is extremely annoying, and this is coming from a PS4 Pro user) , but I hope that in time this is patched. I will say I was very hyped for this game, and I just hope that they continue to patch it because right now playing it is a bit frustrating. I really want to love it, but I can't forgive some of these missteps. Please, in the name of all that is gory, patch this game!!Update: 6/02/18 with patch 1.03Screen tearing has been fixed, but there's a few other issues I'd like to address. My save data was corrupted and I had to erase it to restart, this is an issue that I've seen be talked about by others. It happened yet again on my new playthrough during loading screens for some reason. So there goes a couple hours my hard work. Not only did it delete the save, all my collectables were also erased. For some reason, it is incredibly easy for you to get stuck into the floor/walls while in spirit mode or while crouched (Happened when I first arrived at the Temple of Pleasure, for instance). It's happened three times to me already and I had to restart from my last checkpoint. There's still a long way to go before this game is fixed I believe. I applaud the studio for at least listening to our concerns, it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be but these bugs really do ruin it for me. The NPC voice acting in this game is atrocious. You will get tired of hearing the same two people (presuming it's only the same female and male voice actor) saying the same lines over and over again. The further I've gotten along, the more I got tired of them. Not to say there isn't variation in the voices, there definitely is at some points in the game, but they're few and far inbetween. I just wish there was a little more variation. The two star rating stands for now just because of some of these game breaking bugs. Also, to those who have said the game is too shiny, etc, you can turn off those grpahics effects in the settings menu. Makes it look much better honestly.

CAUTION!!!
Its got PS2 quality, plays like amnesia, isn’t as insane and adult as let on, it looks absolutely NOTHING like prerelease videos and trailers. Terrible voice acting beat out only by the likes of resident evil 1 for worst voice acting of all time. I regret my purchase immensely but i doubt id be given a refund. An overhyped waste of $40.

Too Agonizing To Play
Crashed my PS4 on every run. Had to be forced closed by restarting PS4. Game also freezes, saves don't save half the time. More errors per run than sand particles in an hour glass. This game can potentially break my console. Awful graphics, blacks are distorted into grey & white dots. Very dark so we can't tell how bad graphics really are. Huge frame rate freezing, many, many other glitches.

I regretted buying this game
I was literally excited when this game first arrived but after playing the first hour or so, it was a letdown. The gameplay is tedious and repetitive, graphics are terrible and unpolished, voice acting is very cheesy, bad mechanics and levels are confusing. I couldn't even enjoy a single minute from this game.
