Heather Monahan gives an honest and vivid account of what it means to struggle with confidence. Her tips and insights on how to face the demon of low self-confidence were a lifesaver to me.I spent 18 years in a very toxic work environment. I couldn't see an escape, and my health was getting worse and worse by the day. This book made me realize that I didn't ask for more out of life because I only asked for what I thought I was sure to get.Her insights and ideas gave me the courage to walk away from a terrible situation that was killing me. And now I am pursuing my own goals with more strength and courage. Plus, my health has improved dramatically.So, get this book. Get a pen and start underlining the parts that wake you up. Revisit them whenever you need a confidence boost!

This book is as real as Heather, but I expected nothing less. I looked forward to its arrival since ordering it, and when it came in I immediately began to read it. And I couldn't put it down. I bought this book after hearing the author on a podcast. On the podcast the author seemed uplifting and inspiring and humble. However, the book was more of a constant humble brag of her success. There are some great tidbits of advice mixed in with some name dropping but nothing that is earth shattering. I think she got lost in trying to cram as much advice as she could into the book rather than going deeper on certain topics. I was disappointed because after listening to the author I couldn’t wait to dive in.
