The finest quality Stainless steel produced in accordance with the highest industry standards. These high precision G25 ball bearings are hot forged from bar stock. Modern furnaces with precisely controlled atmospheres and temperatures are used for heat treating to assure uniform hardness and proper microstructure for each Stainless steel ball. Throughout the manufacturing process, statistical process control assures tolerance accuracy, fine surface finish and consistent high quality. Stainless steel balls offer the precise geometry and fine surface finish that makes them especially useful for bicycles, casters, drawer slides, door locks and many other applications.

I selected the wrong size (this time)
My purpose is to use these as agitation balls in small bottles of water based craft paint. The balls are not rusting or causing any problems. They simply are not heavy enough for my primary intended use. They get stuck in the settled pigment and don't aid in agitation as intended. This is mainly to help guide others in picking the correct size. They are good quality and have no defects. I will easily find alternate uses for the ones that are not already dropped into my paint bottles. If you are looking for balls to agitate craft paints in appx 2 oz bottles, these are probably not heavy enough. Move up to appx 1/4 inch (6.5 mm) or larger, ensuring they would fit in your bottle.Again, they have no defects. My picking the wrong size is not the maker's or seller's fault.I re-ordered a larger size and they are working.

Not recommended for bicycle hub repair
Do not, I repeat, do NOT use these bearings for replacement parts if you are overhauling your bicycle hubs. They basically did not last more than 100 miles for me on 2 separate occasions. The outer surface wore away, leaving a grimy paste of iron filings in the hub. After the wheel wobbled so much the bicycle could not be ridden, I opened up the hub and measured the remaining bearings and compared them with brand new bearings. They clearly were no longer 3/16 inch and had lost the outer coating of shiny metal. These may be useful for various other applications that do not require hardness, but you need to use replacement parts specifically designed for bicycle hubs, such as from Shimano, if you are going to replace your bearings.

Great for Mixing Nail Polish
I used these to put in my finger nail polish to shake the polish up. They work great! I put 3 of them in each bottle and when I go to shake the bottle, these balls mix them perfectly. Great product!

Great little ball bearings
I bought these to put inside of miniature paint jars to use as agitators. They work perfectly for this and my paint is much easier to keep mixed properly in the jars.

Captured BB replacement.
My captured ball bearings took flight when I opened up my bike wheel hub. The shell that holds them together had been bent. These saved the day. Same size as original equipment. I have 50 miles on them now. I order a 100 for later conversion to free bearings and 2 other bikes.

So far so good, no rust no fuss
I used these for paint agitators in acrylic dropper bottles. So far so good, no rust no fuss. For my application, I might have gone with 1/4 inch next time for more weight, but the product is great.

As expected.
Can't say much about that beside go for the lower price! Steal balls are hard to differ?
