Pros: ------- * Stylish, compact. * Priced very low. * Can play CD/DVD//USB. * The video quality of movies I played through DVD was good. Cons: ------- * CD/DVD option supports certain basic formats only. And USB option supports even less formats. (The detailed list of supported format is available at Sony's website.) * No interface available on the player, you will have to connect it to a TV for the UI. UI is very slow and difficult to understand. Not very intuitive. Remote also is not very intuitive. * No speakers available on the player. You will have to connect the player to TV or external speakers.

Very good product at this price specially on Amazon. I really wanted to thank Amazon for delivering my product in 20 hours without choosing one day delivery option. Product received in a excellent packing. Now come to product, it is a decent choice for family who wanted to enjoy watching movies and listening music without any high ended support I decided to purchase this as it looked decent at this price with good features. I wanted to clear here that you will only get basic feature with this player. Goods: 1. Very compact sleek design, light weight and requires less space (You can keep with your set top box) 2. Attractive design with SONY logo in front 3. USB support in front 4. As promised on SONY website, delivers excellent picture and sound quality with Xvid and Dolby Digital technology 5. Run very old scratched discs seamlessly without any hassle Bads: 1. User interface is very difficult to handle (You will need some time to get used to it) 2. Get some time to start up once you insert the disc (For a minute you may feel that this disc may not run, but wait and press PLAY to star disc) 3. It doesn't have output to attached sounds (You need to start TV for listening music, I would have give 5 Start if it available) It doesn't have display, many people add it as a Cons, but I will not add it in Bad section as it is already shown on website that it doesn't have it, so you need to decide before purchase that whether you want player with display, as other player with it available at higher price. So, if you are looking for DVD player which will deliver basic feature with high quality, Go for It.

Before you buy this, consider that this is a budget offering. Also, if you're buying a DVD Player in the age of online streaming, you have very specific requirements. I use this mostly to play my Audio CDs from the past decade. Don't want to open up my laptop every time to use use my headphone out for my HT speakers. The DAC on this is good, at least better than my laptop. I'll probably buy a reference CD Player once I have enough budget. For now, the sound quality is better than I expected. Picture quality is good. Not as good as a BluRay upscaling player, but good nevertheless. The UI looks like it's from 2010, and could use some work, but OK, simple and straightforward enough. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to set-up. P. S. In case you face an issue of no sound when connecting to the TV via the AV In, go ahead and Google for the solution. Simple fix for me - connect the Audio Out to the Receiver or Speakers directly, while the Video only goes to the TV. Summary - Good budget DVD Player. If you want HDMI Out, return this one and buy a different DVD Player, or buy a converter. I personally bought this as this is among the very few DVD Players that still have RCA out.
