My 12 year old son has been building Lego sets for years, so I was looking for something that might challenge him a bit more this year. The box had been slightly damaged, however Amazon issued a partial refund to make up for this (and had offered to exchange it if I wanted that instead). It took him about 3 hours to build, as it was his first major Technic set, which was great. It was challenging enough to keep him busy for a while, but not so much so that it was just frustrating.

The Lego instructions were excellent, and my almost 8-year-old son had no trouble assembling this model. It's a bigger car and it took him two days on and off to complete it. He had fun with the special details in this design, such as the moving pipes, foldable bumper that goes up high, and shaped roof panels. The final product looks realistic. It made a great addition to his collection of Lego cars.

Comecei com speed champions e esse foi o primeiro Technic que comprei. Show de bola, a montagem começa a envolver a própria mecânica dos automóveis, como a transmissão da movimentação dos pistões para o giro das rodas traseiras. Cuidado somente com a peça amarela, fui capaz de errar nessa parte, mas corrigi o erro sem maiores dificuldades. Não vem manual impresso para montar o Hot Rod, este está disponível na internet.
