Works just as expected. It is a genuine Toyota product according to my mechanic, at least this particular product I received. There are many fake Toyota products out there, so buyer beware. The hologram sticker and the print on the product and packaging will tell the difference. Will buy again.

Bought these to do DIY synthetic oil changes on my 2008 Toyota Corolla car. This Corolla is actually specced for the 90915-YZZF2 filter, which is the same size and specification as this filter, but half as tall. After some reading around, the consensus was that is a better filter. Since it is taller, it should be able to trap more contaminants while retaining the specified oil pressure longer. And since it has more filter area and yet is rated for the same oil pressure, it should have a finer filtering material. The most important part is that the filter is mounted high up enough that even with the doubled height of this filter, it is still well protected and does not protrude below the engine and protection zones. So far, this filter is performing well. It comes with a pre-oiled gasket, and after tightening it by hand, I've not had any leakage issues. Since switching to this filter and the synthetic oil, my average mileage has gone from 35 MPG to 38 MPG. My car previously had a generic filter and regular oil, as installed by a local shop. My end cost is only a couple dollars more for this filter, a drain washer and full synthetic oil than the shop charged for a regular oil change.

If you are picky about what you choose to filter your oil like I am this is an original Toyota filter. I always use OE Toyota filters because there is a difference. There are tests out there of leading name brands and most fall well short of performance. I would recommend this oil filter and they are great value for your money here on Amazon.
