Peg is every so slightly larger then original, so need to apply some force
After moving and losing the original pins, I brought these ones (I brought 2 packs)They was a little hard to insert, need a bit of pressure to get in but nothing major and no hammer needed.After then FINDING THE ONES I LOST!!!!, I can confirm the originals went in easier then these,

These items totally saved my older ikea products. I have be able to rescue them and repurpose some of them by being able to replace lost hooks. I also bought the plastic clips that hold shelves for ikea products which has also been very helpful
