Travel Select Amsterdam Softside Expandable Luggage with Rolling Wheels, Navy, 2-Piece Set (15/21)

Just pleased as punch with this set, and the price I paid. Allegiant has pretty strict sizing and this offered me a personal under seat item and carry-on that made the most of the odd sizing allowed. I was worried from reviews it would feel like my nephew's overnight suitcases when they go to visit grandma, but no, despite being light, this is a perfectly adult-sized set for someone that is looking to travel light. What I'm happy about, is it is a better set in person. Will it hold up? We shall see, but after spending bukoos of cash on an "expensive" carry-on for my significant other that came back shredded after his first flight (non-checked) I swore I was never going to do that again. I was mortified. This looks to be durable however, and there were small touches that just thrilled me. For example, the pockets on the tote and the suitcase zip all the way down the sides so they open widely, but their is a generous liner sleeve sewn in to keep items from falling out. They aren't shallow either and have room up and down and on the sides about an inch so you have plenty of room. There's a little tag pocket on the back and the color I chose–the grey/black–looks pretty stylish, and the little brand tags do as well. I really appreciate the shoe style pockets on lid and the additional mesh. A woman with flats/flip flops could easily fit two pair, but a man would probably need to put a shoe in each pocket. The interior is light colored and neutral. The extra bag flap looks well sewn in and I think with some velcro strapping, it and tote strap can be easily tied up neatly (that was my only complaint - those things flap about a bit when not in use.) That extra bag strap will make a nice way to tie on a travel pillow or coat/scarf however. I paired this with these packing cubes FINNKARE 6 Set Packing Cubes with Shoe Bag Travel Luggage Organizers Lightweight Travel Cube Set Compression Pouches System for Carry-on Luggage Rose Red but be aware you won't be able to use all the pieces - I used the large one as an extra organizer in my closet. My 13-in Macbook Air, in a neoprene style zippered sleeve fits in the tote and if I was inclined to bring my iPad 2 it would fit in the larger outside pocket of the suitcase easily, and my 3-1-1 bag in the top one. The tote pocket is also designed the same as the suitcase, so it also is roomy and should be perfect for slipping in a clutch wallet, and those things I want easy access to - glasses case, phone, etc. I haven't packed it full yet. The tote bag is slightly wider from end to end than the suitcase - maybe by an inch but doesn't look awkward. I don't know if it would tip - the set doesn't sit leaning back on it's footrest, so there is that potential. I didn't see a lot of complaints about that in the reviews so have my fingers crossed with appropriate packing it will be fine. The pull out handle has two stops. We'll see how the handle holds up to repeated use - I do suspect with more expensive sets you'll feel a smoother motion. I actually bought this set because again, my now-disposed-of-more-mid-range set failed too soon in that department. This one at least offers a zippered lining to access that if I need to doctor it. I would say if you're on the fence, don't hesitate to try the set. Although all things are relative, it doesn't present, or feel tangibly as any cheaper than the ones at the 2x-3x more expensive price point, and has been well thought out in terms of function. And, I figure unlike the last purchases, when it does fail, I won't feel like such a schmuck for wasting money!

This luggage is a PERFECT hand carry bag that fit well in tight overhead bins and the small carry on bag fit nicely under the seat in front of me, with a little room for one foot. The strap on the little hand bag it comes with fits nicely over the handle and the bag sits on top of the main bag for rolling around in airports or wherever you go. If you lean the bag the small bag may fall to one side but the strap keeps the two together. I took this set to another country and basically lived out of it for 9 days. It's well set up for living out of with all its smaller pockets nooks and crannies. In the main bag I rolled 8 pants, & put 5 folded shirts on top of my rolled up pants, 6 T-Shirts fit nicely rolled up as well in the main compartment area next to the pants. The main bag side pockets fit my personal underwear & socks perfectly. The small carry on was perfect with an internal zip locked net pocket on the side for my; shaver in a zip-lock bag, toothbrush tube, soap dish, Meds, cell phone charger, and misc items. The main area in the smaller bag was perfect for, slippers, additional T-shirts and misc clothing. I highly recommend this bag set up for anyone who wishes to avoid baggage fees, baggage claim and can live lightly while traveling. The Price is Awesome as well. I've been using the Travel Select Amsterdam 2-piece set for several months, and it has proven to be a reliable companion for both travel and professional use.  Large Upright Carry-On: The larger suitcase is perfectly sized for carry-on requirements, fitting effortlessly into overhead compartments. It comfortably accommodates clothing for a long weekend trip. The two front pockets are particularly handy—one serves as a convenient spot for electronics, while the other is ideal for toiletries, making TSA inspections smoother. The material feels sturdy, and the zippers operate smoothly. However, the two-wheel design means that when the front pockets are heavily loaded, the bag can become front-heavy and may tip over if not balanced properly, hence the 4 stars and not 5. Smaller Tote Bag: The smaller bag has found a new purpose as my daily tech tool bag. Its compact size is perfect for organizing and transporting my IT tools and laptop efficiently. Overall Impression: This set offers great value for its price, providing functionality and versatility. While the two-wheel design has its limitations, the overall performance and durability make it a worthwhile investment for both travelers and professionals.

Grat for super short trip. Even with packing heavier items on the bottom, it falls over.

This is a pretty set. It has all of the usual shortcomings in that it tips easily when the handle is recessed. But it is easy to move across fairly smooth surfaces. I don't travel as much as I once did so another hard sided case with spinner wheels is overkill now. I wanted a well-made, lightweight and attractive overnight bag and this one is just right. I could buy 3 sets of this case for what 1 quality hard sided case costs. It just made sense to me, lol. All other features are excellent. There is a pouch on the inside of the top flap that is specifically for shoes. I can pack two pair away from my clothing, but it does add to the instability of the case when trying to keep it upright. The larger pouch on the outside is ideal for my makeup. I can easily empty the contents for TSA to inspect. They seem to enjoy inspecting makeup. The smaller pouch fits all of the cords and the backup receipts I take to the airport just in case something goes wrong with my phone. The handbag is nice looking, well-made and basic. There is a cord on the suitcase for attaching the handbag to the case, but the weight of the handbag makes keeping the case upright even more challenging. I probably won't use it. This is a solid set for an infrequent flyer or someone who travels by car and won't be dragging it over rough surfaces.

I bought the 2-piece set in burgundy mainly because it claims to be 21" height x 14" width x 8" diameter. The dimensions were accurate for width and diameter but height measures 22 inches tall including wheels and even pressing down the top strap. These measurements work for domestic airlines (e.g. Delta, Alaska Airlines), but the height does not work for Canadian airlines (e.g. WestJet). I still took a chance and luckily was able to take this carry-on onto four WestJet flights without issue. This Travel Select carry-on slid into the overhead bin easily. We were asked to place the carry-on into the sizer just once either at FLL or YYZ Airport and passed the test. It comes with a separate lock but I would not rely on it; it is a really cheap quality lock that looks like you can open it without using a key. Material feels durable. As we were on the move for seven days, the retractable handle was still working after constant retracting and extracting the handle which was good, but I could feel it is starting to wobble a bit. The travel tote is a nice size but I did not use it because I prefer backpacks. The travel tote shoulder strap is not good quality; as in, don't carry heavy stuff or the straps will surely break off the bag and that would not be repairable. Overall, for the price I paid (40 bucks), it is an inexpensive price even if it lasts for one trip.

Needed a properly sized 'carry on' luggage now that the sizings have gotten smaller and more strict on airline flights. All the luggage we had that used to be accepted for 'carry on' were now too big (learned the hard way, and the $$$ way), but when looking at luggage in the stores, they still also were too big, despite being advertised as 'carry on' size. I was worried about purchasing this online without taking a measuring tape physically to the product, but given all the previous positive reviews, I took the risk and...hooray they passed perfectly! Product arrived quickly/on time and I actually LOVE the deep burnt orange colour! A little worried that the exterior material texture might get 'snagged' and ripped against any protruding hooks of any sort, but until then, we are very happy users! My daughter used this set to visit her grandmother for 3 weeks, and they (all) have returned good as new! So far, durability has been good. Time will tell. Would recommend if only for the assurance of correct carry on sizing as approved by Air Canada.

Very nice, especially for the price. I wanted a larger carry on as i want to start travelling light with only my carry on and tote. This product is fitting the bill perfectly. It is a lot roomier than my old carry on luggage. I am able to easily fit everything I need into this bag for a 2 week Caribbean cruise. The fabric is a good quality, and I do like the burgundy front of the bag. It will make it easier to spot my bag in a crowd. The personal tote is smaller than it looks in the photo, but the specs are perfect for the allowable personal item that you can take on a flight now and it slips over the larger bags handle freeing up your hands to do something else. Also, the larger bag does have a zipper to expand the depth, but you will have to check the bag if you need to expand. I plan on travelling light, but it is good to know if I need a little room, I can expand the bag and check it for a return trip. A word about the wheels. This bag is 2 wheeled bag which uses roller skate wheels. The wheels on these kinds of bags take up less space than a 4 wheeled bag. It was my deciding factor when choosing a 2 wheeled bag. More room for clothes, less space taken up by wheels. Also, a word about lightweight bags. As with all lightweight bags, the push handle needs to be treated with reasonable care. This is not a bag that you can overload with extremely heavy items and toss it around. (I learned this before when I had a very expensive light weight set, and I snapped the spine on the first trip) I will never pay too much for luggage again. From what I can see here, I just picked up a better quality at a much better price here on amazon. Great purchase, I would buy again. I do expect this bag to last for years with normal use and reasonable care.
