Well made. Perfect for pet food storage and a great place to feed the cats while keeping cat food elevated and away from where our rabbit can reach. Fast shipping and rustic looking. This chest really ties our DIY cat wall elements together. The most impressive thing is the non-skid rubber feet. We have a tile floor and this trunk is the only piece of furniture that doesn’t slide or ‘wander’ on our tile floor. It stays securely where it should be. I also love the lid mechanism. It prevents the lid from slamming down but is super easy to open and close.

I use this at the front door for all my kids shoes. Works great. With 5 kids they are constantly getting into it. They are also not so gentle and like to slam the lid closed every time. But it is holding up like new. It’s also cute and goes with my rustic themed decor.

My item arrived in perfect shape (no shipping damage as I had read in other reviews). I will day it is a bit smaller than expected, but the details to look vintage are fabulous. The hardware to open and close the top are lower quality and do not look like they will last long... I bought this for my kids to put their book bags in after school- being that kids aren’t ‘gentle’, the life of the hinges will be short lived. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

It’s really nice it hides a lot of things

Just received the chest and was so disappointed when I removed it from the box. There is a large crack on the top and when I opened the lid, there was more damage. I do not understand why it was boxed in that condition...it is being returned and it’s such a shame. This was my second purchase of the chest. It looks great and blends easily with my decorations and color scheme. If not for the damage, it would have been a perfect match. The wood material is less than a 1/4” thick on the top however; the bracing under the lid was damaged. It may have survived whatever was placed on it, if not for that. Value for money - 1 star. I had no issues with the cost of an undamaged chest which is why I purchased the second chest. I do have issues when I make a purchase and the item is damaged. That is when the value for the money decreases. As stated, the wood is thin however; I love the rustic look of the metal attached to the wood. Based on the damage, I can’t say it’s sturdy.
