A new addition to game night
Brain Freeze is now one of my favorite games. I love that it's not embarrassing to play with your relatives like some of today's hit games. It was hilarious getting the Worst Present Ever Received card and having the gifter being right there and realizing after the fact!Besides being a fun game, the packaging is great. I love that there's even a nutritional chart included on the pint container. Love it!

Fun but once you know them…
We had a great time playing this with our young kids, 6 & 9. They loved it. We were laughing as we rushed through the cards. The only reason I knocked off a star is because once you play it, you know it and have already said the answers before so it’s not fresh or as challenging. Just not a very repeatable game.

Fun game with lots of replay value
I played Brain Freeze with a group of 4th and 5th grade students. It took a few minutes to get going (since I didn't read the rules very well and some of my assumptions of rules led to problems) but once we got going students were stammering and yelling at one another in an effort to answer first. I think this game could have value with any age group. The optional extra rules didn't do much for our students, but there is a lot of room to come up with your own variations making an already exciting game even more fun. I think this game is a great game for lots of ages and it will certainly be making another appearance in our cycle of games for 4th and 5th, middle school, and high school. 5/5 would buy again.

Fun for even the hardest to please
We used this game as part of our confirmation program as a fun way to unwind. This group is not always receptive to new games and we find it really hit or miss with what goes over well. Upon explaining the game and doing a brief walk through for them to understand the battles, they were pumped. They played this game for over 25 minutes, fully engaged the whole time and when asked what they would rate it, all of them shouted 10 out of 10.The only thing that was tricky was we played with 15 which is above the recommended number. In the future, we will try to split into two groups to better engage more kids, but even those who would be identified as bystanders truly enjoyed it.Our favorite cards were the impersonate cards because the kids who are normally reserved or off task were so fun to watch as they fully participated. We will definitely be using this again with that class and will consider expanding the groups that we play it with for fun.
