Bestop51127-15 Replace-A-Top, Black Denim

Worth every penny. Install on a warmer day after it has been in the sun if you want an easier time! Even then, it turned out tight as a drum on our '97 TJ along with a new frame! Got the clear windows after years of tinted and not being able to see out once they get sun damaged/scratched from being on trails and not being able to see into/through the jeep in our condo parking lot where thieving is the word of the night! Won't be going with any other brand when we get another jeep!

I didn't want to "change" or modify my 1999 TJ Jeep top to something different, I just wanted a new one. This top replaces the OEM top perfectly, for way less money than the dealership! It was comforting that Bestop is actually the company that makes the original OEM tops for Wranglers, so the quality is exactly the same.It was a quick install takes about 20 minutes. I did have a problem with the top initially - the back right corner was too long and wouldn't stay "tucked". I called Bestop and they sent out a new one. Replacement is much better. Windows are clear and very nice.A small thing I didn't like was the Bestop sticker on the lower left of the rear window. I started to peel it off but it looked like it would be more trouble than it's worth (gooey residue). I guess such a good replacement top deserves some advertisement anyway, so I'll leave it.

Took a little tweaking to get on but watched a utube video for help.

It was easy to put on, and looks nice. My only complaint is that its awfully droopy in the front part which hangs above the driver's head, so when it rains, it pools and sinks down even lower and when it doesn't rain its flapping loudly when you're moving. I'm not sure if that's standard or the result of buying a generic top. That's why it got 4 stars. But overall, no real complaints.

We were able to install this top with minimal tools. Admittedly, it took a little guy strength, but it was very doable. Excellent replacement.
