## Questions & Answers

**Q: Glass or matte? Hmmm gonna draw all the time so I'm not sure?**
A: G. Kim, I would suggest going with the Matte actually. A lot of people prefer the feel of the Matte screen protectors which is a little rough. Some people say it's a little like drawing on paper (a little bit). Then again the prices and protection of the Ballistic Glass is hard to pass up. Best, Tech Armor Support

**Q: Will the screen protector affect the accuracy or responsiveness of my Apple Pencil in regards to drawing?**
A: Hi Amazon Customer,

That's one great question. No the screen protector will not affect the responsiveness. It was designed to be compatible with the pencil's functionality.

If you're using an Apple Pencil, you really need one of these!

If you're an illustrator or in anyway interested in drawing or writing on your new iPad Pro you need one of these.lets get some of the common complaints out of the way first.Does the anti-glare screen protector diminish the screen quality? To an extent, yes, but it's incredibly marginal unless you like to draw with your eyeball touching the screen. If you've used a Wacom Cintiq you'll know exactly what to expect, i use a Cintiq daily for work and i honestly find the Wacom looks worse because the baseline pixel density is much lower than an iPad. The results are a sort of fine RGB grain across the entire screen, but you really need to be looking to scrutinize to notice it in normal use and i certainly wouldn't let this aspect of the product deter anyone buying it.Is it difficult to apply? Jesus Christ, yes! This is honestly the only reason the thing doesn't have a 5 star rating. The instructions that come with the screen protector use a mobile phone as their example device, which i imagine works well, but an iPad 12.9 is enormous in comparison and a completely different ball game. The system they have in place just isn't detailed enough to work well, certainly not like the icarez screen protectors you can buy. But here's some advice for application that might help some people out:Firstly, apply the screen protector in your bathroom with the hot tap/shower running. The water/steam will attract any and all dust that may be floating around. This means you only need to think about getting it on straight and not whether you're going to get a bunch of crap caught between the layers. It also moistens the sticky layer so you can more easily push out air bubbles later.Secondly, don't panic if if goes on wrong. I wasn't happy with my first application so i peeled it off and stated again using the same sheet. Just because it didn't go right the first time doesn't mean you have to move onto the second sheet. They're surprisingly forgiving in that sense.Thirdly (and this is how i applied it perfectly the second time) use the supplied "dust removal stickers" (i didn't use them for their intended purpose) as alignment guides. The aforementioned icarez screen protectors use a similar system. Basically you align the screen protector perfectly with your screen as a dry run without peeling off the backing. use the "dust removal stickers" to essentially tape the longest edge of the screen protector to your iPad (ideally the side with the "start" easy peel tab) peel off the backing, and then instead of fumbling about trying to align the sheet, simply fold it back onto your iPad using the new "dust removal sticker" hinges you created. Work from the middle outwards and use the plastic card to push out any air bubbles. This worked for me perfectly. It takes a bunch of trial and error out of the equation and makes the whole thing way less frustrating. As for how it feels to draw on? Amazing! better than a Wacom Cintiq. It has a really satisfying tooth to the surface for added control, it limits finger prints on the screen. it helps your palm glide across the screen while making long strokes and it helps with outdoor use in direct sunlight. i honestly couldn't go back.

    Heartily recommended to artists

I'm going to kick this off by admitting that I have never, in my 21 years on this Earth, managed to put a screen protector on, without at least a few airbubbles and a speck of dust getting trapped under it. Maybe even a hair if we're having a rough day.I'll be the first to admit that the first protector in the pack suffered fatally from my lack of competence, and was unretrievable within about 60 seconds, with a crease appearing almost immediately. But the universe had greater plans for screen protector #2. After reading the instructions again, I held my breath and slipped #2 from the packet. Naturally, before taking the plunge again, I had a bit of a faff, dabbing heartily at the screen with those little dust remover stickers. The time of judgment was finally upon me.I peeled the adhesive film a little way back, about an inch along the length of the long edge. I ligned up the corners as evenly as I could. At this point I kind of gracelessly whipped the whole film off and smoothed it on with my hand. The surface was rife with bubbles. I set-to with the little smoothing card and the microfiber cloth. For the first time in my life, I managed not only to disburse all of the bubbles in their entirety, but not a SINGLE spec of dust. NOT ONE. I actually called my mom to tell her about it, too. Needless to say she didn't believe me initially, but my god did she get some proof. It was 100% worthy of being stuck on the fridge. But yeah, nice feel to it- way nicer than the glass for drawing on. I'm an artist, and got the iPad solely for drawing, so this was important to me. Would've liked it to be a bit better for glare, but it's not awful by any stretch, and there's only so much it can do for £3.50 each.Doesn't seem to scratch or anything while I'm drawing, and I personally wear a little half-glove thing too, to keep the oils on my hand from smearing it, as its not totally smudge-resistant imho.TL;DR: I'd heartily recommend it to any artists.

Set aside an entire afternoon to apply, feels great for the Apple Pencil once it's on.

*by A***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 September 2016*

First and foremost, this screen protector was an absolute nightmare to apply. Not necessarily the products fault however. This screen protector kit is really nice, it includes a wet/dry wipe for cleaning fingerprints and general muck off the screen, a set of stickers for removing stubborn dust and the screen protector itself with the standard peel backing. The only issue I have with the kit is that the wipes could have been larger for the size of the screen. So the kit is great, but why then is it such a nightmare? Simply due to the size of the screen, I started off cleaning the screen as instructed, removed a few bits of stubborn dust with the stickers then got ready to apply the protector. However due to the massive 12.9 inch display the iPad is a magnet for little particles that cause frustrating bubbles. The best advice I can give is to make sure your in a reduced dust environment, then start off by applying the screen protector at one end of the iPad. Slowly bring it down an inch at a time, if you notice any bubbles lift it up and remove the dust/hair with the stickers provided, note that the hair might get stuck to the screen protector itself, but you can use the sticker on it just the same. Eventually with enough perseverance and a good sacrifice to the screen protector gods you should have a bubble free application.I really like the matte finish on this protector, although it does come with a very slight rainbow effect. I chose this style in particular to provide a bit more friction for the Apple Pencil, which feels miles better than the pencil on the bare glass.
