A: Irrespective of how long these lighters are, I would not buy these lighters on-line.  There is a high failure rate.  Read the reviews.  Better to buy them in a retail store so if there is a problem and they don't work it is easier to take them back to the store and get a refund or exchanged.  You do not want to go thru the hassle of returning a low costs item thru  online return not matter how good Amazon's return policy maybe otherwise excellent.  Better yet, buy these lighters in a retail store and  after buying them, open them up and test them in the store.  If there is a problem and they don't work, show the seller then and there and get a refund or exchange.  That's what I did.
