After some alterations, best investment by far.
I freaking love it. Best purchase for my gear set from starting out to years down the line. The thing is perfect and sturdy. Also, well balanced. Be warned it is a little heavy but that’s a good thing not afraid of it getting knocked down. Just when I use it as a impromptu steady cam it can start to hurt. I got a king joy head with mine and it’s best value combo so far. Operates so smoothly and hasn’t failed me yet. The price is perfect considering what it’s competition is. It really is the epitome of the statement, “just because it’s expensive doesn’t mean it’s good”. As in it’s got such a pro feel and color. Although if you are intending to have the feet on there mostly always, be sure to put some loctite on the threading of the feet to the base because it might fall on you. And that’s not good. Also you might want to super glue the rubber feet to the base they can get caught and snap off easy. (Maybe that’s a testament to the grip). Just some minor alterations that shouldn’t be an issue. If it is a problem then move on, I mean you shouldn’t expect anything to be perfect no matter how much it costs (I haven’t found so, that is). Also if it’s a problem, aren’t you in the field of creativity and innovation?

Appears to be sturdy made, but bobbles a lot with weight
Appears to be sturdy made, but bobbles a lot with weight. The "feet" are worthless. It's not that I would attach a camera to and not hang on to, but would be nice if there was some stability to the thing to make sense of the "feet". Suppose to be heavy duty type monopod, but the pole leans with a total weight of 4-7 lbs. I don't recommend this monopod to anyone looking for one that has some stability to it.

Faulty device. Not bad product
One of the legs was busted and wouldn't come back up when attempting to fold away. Other than that this is great. Solid construction. Love the design. I think I just got a faulty device. At least the customer service was good and they gave me a refund and paid for my return label.

After going to the hardware store & purchasing an allen wrench monopod is set up and working fine. Instructions need reworking &
Performs well but-----Received this monopod yesterday & it is exactly what i expected. However the manual lacks detail & proper instructions. Instructions direct you to unscrew top plate to reverse3/8 mount to 1/4 mount. Tried to do this & plate wouldn't budge . After struggling for a while close examination revealed a set screw keeping the plate from loosening. Tried to loosen set screw with the allen wrench provided in the kit. It was the wrong size. After going to the hardware store & purchasing an allen wrench monopod is set up and working fine. Instructions need reworking & proper hardware should be included. inconvience was annoying but the product is nice.

... the wight of larger cameras or lenses but the worst thing is
won't support the weight of larger cameras or lenses but the worst thing is, if you turn it the chicken foot loosens and can come off.

Unbelievable quality and price!
Boy, this thing is great. It is well built with quality materials. The snap closures work great and are adjustable. The foam at the top is top quality. The legs swing out and lock and then unlock easily, probably even if cold. The only thing about this product is the weirdo who wrote the brochure detailing in a long explanation how you can use the monopod as a weapon....I kid you not! Too bad they didn't put more info on using the monopod rather than the offbeat humor. Plus the instruction brochure was in shinny black and very hard to read for an old time like myself. Then they put the instructions in the pouch within the well built carrying case and I only found it by accident. They include a clip on holder of the allen wrench for adjusting the snap closures. Actually the carrying case is worth what they charge for the whole thing. The case can fit the monopod, my Manfrotto full swivel video head with locking arm, my Canon EOS M1 camera in a pouch, my EF-M 18-55mm lens in a pouch and my Manfrotto desktop tripod inside the inner pouch. This whole thing is all I need to go our photographing without carrying hardly and weight or bulk. Camera w/ lens, tripod, monopod, case, SD card, pouches for camera and lens cost me about $400.00. I'll miss you my old t3i friend, you were a good companion.

I love this monopod & it is made very well
I love this monopod & it is made very well ! The base is great but if you use it on the beach...beware...I had to clean it with a toothbrush. If you watch the video under reviews it says it all. This base can be removed and that's a plus and it swivels so you get great mobility and it's light enough where you can just pick it up and move quickly. As with all equipment make sure your right with it...I've seen tripods shake in the wind.
