Doheny's Harris Pool Pro Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pool, 24" Tank with 1.5 HP Pump

This filter works amazing it was easy to install. We had purchased a filter from another supplier they sold us what they wanted to and not what we needed. This arrived undamaged several days before it was expected. Would highly recommend

Nice kit. It included all the fitting and supplies (minus the sand) that I needed to replace my old pump and filter. The 24" filter does a nice job compared to my previous 16" 1hp set up. I attached my vacuum and was able to clean the bottom of my 24' pool in a third of the time it used to take. The 11/2 hp pump is much better quality and quieter than my old one. It's just day three, but so far I am very pleased.

The only issue I have is the hose between the pump and filter doesn't fit the pump very well. I used flex PVC and adapters top make it work. Besides that it runs very quite and moves a lot of water!

It’s been several weeks now and I can’t say enough good about this pump and filter unit. You have to play around with the fittings to get them to adapt to your specific pool. But it has been worth the time and investment. The only issue I have is that it works so well, that it collapses the cheap tubing my pool came with when I vacuum. This is a great product!

I've had this Pump for a week and i still have not been able to use it. The Black hoses and the pump adapter fitting do not match up and leak. I Broke the worm gear clamps trying to get it tight enough to stop the leaks. So I went out and bought some T-Bolt clamps, even these clamps will not get tight enough. The problem is the Slip adapter fitting it just a hair to small around for the hose they supplied.Good NEWS is I just happen to have on hand 2 SP-1090-Z-4 Slip hose adaptor fitting. This fitting works great with the hoses supplied. The bad news is i need 4. So another delay and wait for the other 2 to come in.Wish me luck I will have owned this pump and filter for 2 weeks and still haven't got past the installation yet. If You don't hear anymore from me you know it's a great pump and filter, otherwise i'll be back...

Great product

We have a Doughboy oval 13,000 gallon pool. We inherited it when we bought our home 5 years ago. After consistent pump and filter issues last year with the existing system, we purchased this system to replace it. We did need to purchase some extra hose adapters to make our existing in wall skimmer and return work with the pump, but it works MUCH better than the old pump and filter. We have also used our Barracuda automatic pool vacuum with the Harris system with no issues. My only (very minor) complaint is that there is no on/off switch on the pump. To turn it off to switch methods on the pump, you have to unplug it. When you’re backwashing and pumping to waste for only short periods of time, it’s kind of a pain (especially with wet hands). Honestly, for the price on Amazon vs what the local pool store was going to charge us for a comparable system, I’d buy this again in a heartbeat. If any issues come up, I will add to my review! We are one month in of 24/7 use and have had zero issues (knock on wood!)
