Q: Does this come with a install kit and what is the max guage wire can you use?

I currently have an 8gauge wire powering it for me but the manual says 10gauge is recommended as well as the connecter is an 10gauge. It does not come with a kit but does have a multi wire connection plug. You will need additional wires to get this connected.

Q: How does this compare to the rockville rockghost subwoofer?

There both really good but in my opinion the recoil rst11 is bigger and the bass hits harder then rockghost. But the rockghost is still a really good spare tire sub and they are both similar in price. I currently have the rst11 in my accord and is enough to make the mirrors vibrate a good amount and for you to feel the bass in your seat.

Yes subwoffer is designed to go into a spare tire for mounting. You buy a real spare or purchase a cheap used tire

You need rca cables or speaker wire for the input and battery and ground cables for the power
