I know that sounds obnoxious regarding a Brightwell Aquatics product, (because they make good stuff), but I was skeptical.This will boost your pH without affecting your alkalinity or dKH. It is a modest increase, but it does work.I've been using it for about a year on my basement located mixed reef. Due to the basement location (CO2 buildup which depresses pH), I was only able to raise pH up to 7.9.Now with a recirculating CO2 scrubber attachment to my protein skimmer and the Boost pH + I've been able to bring it up to 8.3 consistently.Without the Boost pH + I'm running at 8.2, so the recirculating scrubber media is doing the heavy lifting here. But the Boost pH + has an effect as well.I put the Boost pH + in my RODI topoff supply for the tank, so every time it tops off with RO water from evaporation, it adds a small amount of Boost pH + as well.Interesting side note, the recirculating CO2 scrubber is creating more evaporation (distillation is actually a better term since the water vapor from the skimmer/Recirculating CO2 scrubber is turning distilled fresh water and is being drained from the system), so my tank is running through more RODI. This results in more RODI with Boost pH + being topped off into the system.Regardless, the big takeaway is that it does work and can help with a chronically low pH system. ### ⭐ Did not work *by C***N on June 5, 2024* Followed instructions exactly raised PH for about 30 seconds by about .04 then immediately dropped back down. ### ⭐⭐ Ph crash product didn't work *by M***L on August 29, 2023* I had experience a ph crash. So I performed an emergency water change. Ph level was 7.4. within 8 hours ph level dropped to 5.9 I tried this product to determine whether the ph level would increase unfortunately to no avail. It failed to adjust the ph level.
