Naturals Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C),120 Veggie Caps

For the quality , quantity and price I think this is a good deal, I've just begun bio identical hormones and my NP asked that I add this supplement. I will update after my next labs. UPDATE: I haven’t done a lot of search for a better price but it looks like this is a good deal for 120 capsules . I did have a recent appt but no labs . They ssid that this helps break down estran which is an aggressive form of estrogen and she’ll ck labs in 6 mo. My last levels were pretty high so I’ve been trying to take 400 / dy. If levels are normal then I can decrease to one or two per day. After reading some of the other reviews I have noticed similiar results and am glad I’ve been on this . May even get my daughter to start a low dose. The taste is quite different but fir the benefits it’s worth it . UPDATE . I’m on bottle # 3 . I received a message about the smell . Yeah it does smell and taste bad but all my orders have , nothing new or different . I’ve taken manufactured meds that were terrible also and I’d rather take these natural smelly one than the man made . I feel good . These were recommended to me by my NP and we are trying to get an aggressive estrogen level down . I will have a recheck in the fall and we will see if these helped . I have been taking 4 / dy and if the levels are down I’ll. Go to 1-2/dy. There are some great benefits from taking this and I’ll kerp it in my supplements. I think this product is the best value too .

Update 1/18/21: I have now been taking these for over a year and the concern about color has not seemed to change the potency. There have been no more problems with Fibrosystic breast lumps so I will continue to take this. One change I have made is to also include calcium d glucarate which aides I3C in ridding the body of excess estrogen. Update 2/24/20: The current batch I just received is a brownish color, unlike the bright green of my previous order and it does not smell strong like the previous batch. This leaves an uneasy feeling about what your actually getting. Original review January/2020: Five star!!! Although these do have an odor which can smell like moth balls, and I would recommend swallowing them immediately with plenty of water, but if this is the worse you can expect than I'd say their benefits far outweigh their slight issues! I have had trouble with fibrocystic breasts for most of my life. I've had to be careful with any caffeinated foods or drinks since these would make the problem worse. I have had suspicious mammograms resulting in a lumpectomy that turned out to be benign growths. Since then, I have avoided mamograms like the plague due to the pain from the cysts. Now that I am older, I have had a fibrocystic lump that has grown rather large for the past few years. I have read bioidentical progesterone can help reduce these which had helped some, but not completely. Then I found information in my research that showed I3c can help metabolize bad estrogen which also helps with breast health so I decided to try it out. I have only taken these for 1 month and all I can say is wow! The large lump which I had been trying to reduce for the past year has almost vanished! I am eager to see how things are when the bottle is finished!

EDIT: Although Amazon doesn't allow returns on these types of items, I decided to email the company directly, and I am impressed with their customer service. Sam responded immediately to my complaint and issued me a quick refund. The problem with my bottle seemed to be that the inner seal did not seal properly, thus causing the capsules to dry out in storage. They shrivel up inside the capsule, turn dark brown, and lose that funky smell. So if you get a bottle similar, this is probably the issue. It's not a common occurrence, but sometimes things go wrong in production/handling/shipping/etc. Email them, they stand behind their products and are a great company to deal with! These are not the same capsules that I've been getting for about 6 months now, which were good to go until now. I don't usually leave bad reviews for mistakes that can be corrected, but now that I got ripped off and can't return them for a refund... The product is either different or so old and/or stored improperly that they dried up/dehydrated and changed from the usual beige color with a foul odor, to a dark brown color and no odor at all. The powdery substance inside has hardened into one solid piece, and the inside seal on the bottle was broken(probably the cause of the dry-up). Quality control! I don't trust these anymore... Ok, Dr. told me to get this supplement in order to lower my Stradiol levels, that were kind of high. I started taking just one pill per day at breakfast, after one month taking just one pill I made blood tests, estradiol was indeed lower by 35% - 40% which was really good, total testosterone (TT) was a little bit higher, however, the surprise was that free testosterone (FT) and dihidrotestosterone (DHT) were lowered despite of the fact that TT was higher. After seeing those results, Dr. told me to duplicate the dosage, so I started taking pills per day at breakfast as well. After a month and a half taking tow pills, I did blood test again and surprisingly, estradiol was higher than i last tests, though not to high, TT was just a little bit higher BUT FT and DHT where even lower than in last test, so I decided to stop taking this supplement, becase it lowered my T levels. Other changes i saw where an improvement in skin, nails, hair and eyes appearance. Supplement didn't have any undesired side effects, except for a pretty weak headache the first tow weeks, toher than that, everything good. Taste and smell are not good but they definetly aren't a deal breaker. Hope this helps make your mind in whether to take or not this supplement.
