Q: How are people getting motors onto this? The front support is so wide I can't fit it up to the engine on a hoist.

I started by bolting the plate onto the engine. Then, I backed the stand in between the hoist legs so I could get the plate as far in as possible. Slowly lower the hoist until the mounting plate is about level with where it inserts into the stand. Sometimes, I had to negotiate with the stand with a hammer to beat it onto the plate, but once it's on just place the retainer pin and let the engine (very slowly) down. It's a process, but very doable.

Q: need this for a 472 cadillac motor, will it do the job?

Will hold it but do not recommend for even small block v8 if using to turn and rebuild. No brake or anything on rotation. Works great on small motors (4 and small 6 cyl)

Q: Will this work with GM LS engines or do I need a seperate adapter?

Hi, the stand can work with most regular engines (except for a few that are out of its working range, such as some large SUVs of Ford, etc.), you can refer to the red engine stand on the same page, the third picture of the main image has a specific size for reference.Thank you.

Q: Has anyone bolted up a 302 to this?

Ive bolted a small block chevy to it and no problems

Awesome for the money!

Been holding this 6.0 lq9 since probably october... about 8 months and not sagging or anything. It's definitely a lit of weight for it but I not past it's limits. Moved it around the yard without issue just takes some muscle.

Appears to be great product.

Very pleased with over all heavy duty parts. Everything went together very well, certainly appears to be sturdy. Will be putting to the test over the next month see how it works under load.

Works as it should

I bought this engine to support my 4.6 aluminum block Rover V8/Buick 215. Definitely up to the task. Reasonably priced abd fast shipping. Box was slightly damaged in the corner but no missing parts and the stand was not damaged.
