I have to admit, I'm a little bit daunted by this puzzle. It arrived quickly and picking it up, the box is heavy!! I am very pleased with the quality, this is my first Ravensburger puzzle and I am impressed, the pieces fit together well, they're thick, well-made, there is a variety of shapes and sizes and the colours are vivid. The puzzle comes in two separate bags so you can choose to work on one side at once or go all in and mix all 9000 pieces together if you're really brave. A handy poster-sized reference picture is also included which is very helpful. So far I am not even quarter of the way through the left-hand side after about two weeks of working on it so this puzzle is not for the faint of heart! Should keep me entertained for a very long time! =) Definitely recommended if you're looking for a serious challenge or as a family activity (there is definitely plenty of room for a lot of people to work on it at once as i can lay inside the fully completed border.) Amazing puzzle so far. I am only 4 days in and have been struggleing do the small work space I have 8' X 4' table top. I am doing one half at a time due to such limited space. I have been seperating pieces and flippiong them over I have only logged a few hours so far both doing an inital sort, but half of the boarder is done and it seems like it will be tons of fun. I read other reviews that said "check to make sure you have different bags and when you dont demand a refund." well I did check and I have two bags of vibrently colored pieces and I can't wait to get my puzzle on and start using that famous Ravensburger smart click technology. If things change as I work more on my puzzle I will be sure to update my review. Happy puzzling.

I had the same issue - two left sides. Only realized when I finished the first half and started sorting the second bag, only to realize the pieces looked awfully familiar. I emailed the company, will see if they will replace quickly. Sad, as I had planned a quiet Saturday of puzzle-doing, and now I have no project:(

The finished product is beautiful! The journey was interesting. I worked on the left side of the puzzle first and discovered it was missing two pieces. I've never lost a puzzle piece before. I called Ravensburger and they sent out a replacement bag which allowed me to take a two week break from puzzling. As I was completing the right side of the puzzle, I was confused because I kept seeing a dark puzzle piece when all of the dark sections were finished. It turns out I was given two extra pieces in the other bag and they were not from this puzzle. Anyway, all's well that ends well.

I ordered and received the puzzle last week, and based on the other reviews, I quickly inspected the 2 bags in the box. In my case, they were 2 different bags, 1 bag for each side of the puzzle. So either they have fixed this problem, or I have been lucky! It is a great and nice looking puzzle, but a real challenge to finish it.

This was a gift, I am in love with the image.. One thing was that the box was damaged =( and I could not get an exchange. However the pieces are nice and thick, very little dust. and the picture vibrant and gorgeous! Definitely a must have for avid puzzlers!

This is the second 9,000 Ravensburger puzzle for me and I am really enjoying this one. The colors are great! The pieces come in two separate bags (left side and right side) but I felt like it was cheating to assemble it as if it were two smaller puzzles so I immediately opened and mixed the bags to make it more challenging. We actually had to build a special table out of plywood to assemble these 9,000 piece puzzles but it was well worth it given the hours of entertainment assembling the puzzles provides. I only wish Ravensburger offered a larger selection of this size puzzle as I will soon be ready for the next one :)

Bei der Suche nach einem großen Puzzle, mit dem Ziel dieses aufzukleben und an die Treppenhaus-Wand zu hängen, bin ich auf dieses 9.000er Puzzle, mit dem detailreichen Motiv der Unterwasserwelt, gestoßen. Um später sagen zu können, dass ich wirklich ein 9.000er Puzzle gepuzzelt habe, habe ich die beiden Tüten (je ca. 4.600 Teile) durch meine kleine Tochter zusammenkippen lassen; sie hatte großen Spaß daran. VORBEREITUNG IST ALLES! Ich habe mir entsprechend der Puzzle-Abmaße + je 2 cm pro Seite eine Spanplatte gekauft, worauf auch später das Puzzle mittels Holzleim aufgeklebt wurde. Den Überstand der Spanplatte von 2 cm je Seite habe ich bewusst aus zweierlei Gründen gemacht. Zu einem entsprach dieser Abstand dem abzudeckenden Maß meiner weißen Rahmenleisten, welche ich zum Einrahmen des fertigen Puzzles verwendet habe. Desweiteren habe ich den Überstand dafür genutzt, dass ich eine provisorische Rahmenkonstruktion aus kleinen Leisten auf die Plate aufgebracht habe. Diese dient lediglich dazu, dass ein Herunterfallen von Puzzleteilen oder Verschieben nicht möglich ist. Für ein bequemeres und gesünderes puzzeln habe ich zwei große Partytische ins Wohnzimmer gestellt worauf ich die Spanplatte gelegt habe. Unseren großen Wohnzimmer-Esstisch habe ich für die übrigen Teile verwendet. Eine Zugänglichkeit von allen Seiten aus sollte auch gegeben sein, damit man an entsprechenden Stellen sofort puzzeln kann. Desweiteren sollte für eine optimale Beleuchtung gesorgt werden, um auch die kleinen feinen Unterschiede zu erkennen und auch dementsprechend zuordnen zu können (bspw. Abstufung Grautöne Rochenhai, Delphin / Blautöne beim Wasser etc.). Aber bevor man endlich mit dem Puzzle starten kann, hat man noch das Sortieren vor der Brust. Hierfür sollte man sich unbedingt die Zeit nehmen und alles nach Themen, Farben etc. sortieren, denn das erspart im Nachhinein Arbeit und Zeit. Ich habe diesen Fehler auch gemacht und wollte unbedingt mit dem Puzzle loslegen. Andererseits hätte ich ca. 2 Tage weniger fürs Fertigstellen gebraucht. > So waren es ab Besorgung der Platte bis hin zum letzten Teil habe ich 18 Tage. > Übrigens waren alle Puzzle-Teile vorhanden und keines davon defekt. > Okay der Versatz vertikal in der Mitte sollte nicht sein. > Dennoch eine unterm Strich 5-Sterne-Bewertung. TIPPS & TRICKS (vgl. auch Bilder): > passenden Untergrund mit passenden Abmaßen wählen (den späteren Rahmen sollte man schon mit einberechnen) > ausreichenden Platz (1. Platte für das Puzzle / 2. weitere Fläche für die übrigen Teile) > Zugänglichkeit von allen Seiten aus > ausreichende Beleuchtung > sich ausreichend Zeit für das Sortieren (Rand, Farben, Themen, etc.) nehmen > Schneidebretter o.Ä. für die Puzzleteile der einzelnen Themen oder Farben Nun viel Spaß beim Puzzeln
