In the aim of keeping the specs light weight, plastic throughout has been used. This affects the robustness of the side arms compared to metal ones. They do the job and the splendid case is a practicle addition. In use, metal side arms and hinges would be preferable.

These took a bit longer to arrive than most things on Amazon. About 8 days I think it was, but there was no urgency for us, so didn’t matter. I like that these temporary/short use readers on come in their own very small protective zip-up case, which can also be clipped to belt or a bag or something. Paid £10 for 3 pairs which is an amazing price. They’re unisex in their design and shape but ideal for my hubby who likes to take readers out with him for reading menus, price tags etc when out and about where lighting isn’t great. He’s lucky he’s in his early 60’s and still doesn’t need prescription glasses yet…..so these are ideal for him for using every now and again or for reading at home for short periods. THey’re light, and fold up fantastically small, so would easily fit in a jeans or coat pocket. They’re advertised as “Unbreakable”, but I’m not sure about this. Everything is breakable, and these do feel a little flimsy, so I do very much doubt that bold statement, but for a tenner for 3 pairs of uniquely foldable glasses, they’re great. I think they’re going to be a talking feature for sure. They’re so cool the way they fold so small. Very happy hubby as he hates spending money!! 😂

OK they are cheap , buy don't think they will last long

Impossible to complain for less than a fiver. Surprisingly comfortable and very convenient.

I'm a fan of carrying folding readers and normally buy ones with thin metal frames. These ones are plastic frames but dont let it put you off as these are now my favourite. Unlike many , they have a proper nose bridge and bent ends to keep them steady( how can stright ends be any good). The plastic frames are quite thin, and so dont get in the way like thicker frames. The case is sturdy but not overly rigid. I've now bought a second pair as I will invariably lose them but at this price, a no brainer.

Great little specs, placed on my key ring to save carrying a full size pair of specs and breaking them.
