I use these peat containers to plant cuttings after they develop roots in water. Then I plant them in the pots that will be home for awhile. While the plant continues to grow and the roots further develop, the pot disintegrates. But the plant will be undisturbed.

Exactly as I expected

I got these because I conceived the idea that by planting vines in these and with the use of a bulb planter putting them into a slope. What I liked about these pots is that I could buy them in a small number. I wanted something that would disintegrate quickly, but this was too quickly. Some of the pots fell apart before I even got them in the ground. Perhaps I wasn't supposed to add water to the plants before putting them in the ground, but I can't imagine not doing so.

Half of them arrived damaged with holes or rips. The remaining ones were okay.

I bought these to grow wheat germ grass in my house for my cats to munch on. They have done a suburb job of retaining moisture while not falling apart and retaining their shape. The grass has been growing strong and healthy with the roots able to breach through these pots nicely. The pots are still very breathable, allowing for a nice balance of oxygen and water and sunlight to the soil so I have not had any mold issues. I have bought different biodegradable pots before for my garden starters but they were not letting the roots through as much these did and they fell apart rather quickly. It just depends on what you are needing these for.

Purchased for seed starting (used with sphagnum moss) in the house. Love that I can stick this biodegradable pots right in the ground without disturbing my tender seedlings.
