Great for practice and performance
I have had a Yamaha SLG200N guitar for about four years. I'm in a little band that primarily plays Christian hymns and worship music. This instrument is absolutely wonderful for extended periods of practice, free of driving my wife nuts with the seemingly endless repetition of songs and disturbance of the peace and quiet. My modus operandi is to run a recording of the music I want to learn and practice through the auxiliary input on the guitar and listen to it and my playing through headphones connected to the guitar. I use this guitar for performance as well, and it sounds pretty good overall, although, a bit artificial compared to the classical type guitar I play in a solo setting. The onboard controls are super convenient to adjust independently for the volume of the guitar as well as the incoming recorded music. The blend control for the smooth transition from straight piezo sound to the programed mic sound works well. The onboard reverb and chorus effects are useful and work reasonably well. Unfortunately you can use only one of those at a time. At times I'd like to employ both at once. The electronics require two AA batteries, which is way more convenient and cost effective than the usual 9 volt battery needed on acoustic electrics. I use four rechargeable batteries, two at a time, so I always have a charged set on hand for a quick change when needed. The guitar is generally comfortable to play. I did need to make some adjustments to lower the action to my taste by bringing the saddle and nut height down some and fine tuning the truss rod in the neck. A criticism, though, is that the upper bout frame is a bit sharp edged, which after a time began to effect the nerves in my right forearm causing numbness in my hand and fingers. Not good! I made a pad that connects to the problem area, and that solved the issue. Another problem is that, over time, the auxiliary input jack began to develop a bad connection internally causing one or both stereo channels to cut out. The issue got only worse over time, and now it really needs to be repaired. The headphone jack has begun to develop the same problem and needs to be fixed. I believe the jacks are plugged into or soldered to the circuit board in a way that's not strong enough and can work loose. I just recently bought another SLG200N so that I'd always have a backup in the case of one being out of action. This one had a flakey auxiliary input jack right out of the gate, so I had to return it. I suspect this might be a fairly common problem that should be addressed in the design and manufacture of these guitars going forward. While I try to be careful, the mild tugging that may occur on the auxiliary input and headphone cables while handling and playing can stress the jacks thus leading to the issue. In conclusion, I think these are wonderful and versatile guitars. I'd give it five stars, but the input and output jack connection issues take it to four stars until the problem goes away. Of course, to be fair, when the jacks fail you're not dead in the water. Just use an amp with an auxiliary input and headphone jack, and you're back in business for practice. It's just less convenient.

Great travel guitar!
I bought it for my husband for his birthday gift and he loves it! He has many guitars but this is his first travel/silent one and he enjoys playing it with the headphones that also came with it. Great sound quality, and light weight yet durable. I strongly recommend this product and the seller.

Setup was terrible guitar is good.
I purchased a used "very good" package that was a Rebox return. It was pretty obvious why as two of the strings didn't fit in the nut and overall nut action was way high with way too much relief in the neck. I could barely play it. Also the stock saddle is .3mm too thin for the slot. 40 mins of nut filing a replacement stemac saddle and adjustment later the guitar plays extremely well and sounds great.

You'll need a wall adapter
I absolutely love this guitar. During breaks I'll play low volume music from my phone in my office, and no one can hear me practicing this guitar. The large headphones won't work with the two AA batteries. You'll need to purchase a plug and have it plugged in.

Perfect but...
The guitar is perfect, however the accessories are not those of the image. The strings are not Daddario and the phone is not Samson. Misleading advertisement!
