Fudenosuke Brush Pen, Soft Tip, Black

I've been using this pen for a year and a half, and it's just starting to run out of ink. It's not my favorite pen to use, but it was a great tool for learning the basics of brush lettering. Even though it has 'soft tip' in the name, the nib is firmer than almost any other brush pen that I've tried. This makes it much easier to control when you're just getting started with lettering, and also makes it a good choice for people who put a lot of pressure on the page when they write. If your hands are shaky, this pen will also allow you to get straighter lines than you would with a softer pen, like the tombow dual brush. The only things that aren't ideal about this pen are that it has a relatively small tip, and it only comes in black. But it should be adequate for pretty much any project that you want to take on as a beginner.

Really great pen for practicing Kani and kana calligraphy. I bought the soft version and it does great with variety of papers, no leaking or smudging. I highly recommend it.

This is my favorite brush pen EVER! I'm on my 3rd one. I use it at work, in a lab, to incorporate some creativity into the otherwise, sterile environment. I love it because it has a finer tip so I can get almost hairline up strokes, with a nice bold down stroke. Additionally, the smaller tip allows me to write smaller/more normal, as compared to other brush pens I have.

This is probably the best brush pen I've bought so far. The ink flow is nice, and the tip is very flexible. I use it for both drawing and writing and have had no problems with it. I'm running out of ink now, and I think I might buy this exact pen again ahahah. The ink is actually dark black too, unlike some other pens that have watered down-looking 'black ink'.

These are my favorite for calligraphy, but even with the cap they dry out fairly fast so be prepared to purchase more.

I love drawing with this pen as it's has good deep black ink. I can't write with it too fast or it railroads. But with the right pace it's great.

I used this pen about a dozen times now and I have not noticed any fraying. The tip has integrity, so it is great for making small straight lines, but has enough give to make thick strokes as well. Not dry. A great pen for 'small' calligraphy projects. This is a great starter pen or default pen to begin modern calligraphy with.

I love the way it writes. It's a great pen for beginners or those who want to work on their calligraphy.

Jag tycker denna penna fungerar precis som jag hade förväntat mig. Den kan göra både tunna och tjocka streck beroende på trycket. Jag tycker om att fylla i mina skisser med den och sedan måla med akvarell över då den är vattenbeständig. Rekommenderar den.

J'utilise ce feutre pour tracer des sinogrammes et il est excellent ; je le préfère à son équivalent 'pointe dure'.

Belle qualité d’écriture. L’encre est bien couvrante. Une belle découverte.
