The only product I’ll use to dye my eyebrows
Love this eyebrow dye! Works really well, super easy to use. Comes with a little reusable bowl to mix product. Comes with 4 capsules. I have BLONDE eyebrows; almost invisible and it’s really amazing to be able to dye them at home whenever I want vs going to the salon. Inexpensive but great quality. I buy the light ash brown and it’s a wonderful color (not any orange or yellow tones - that I’ve seen with other brands) I’ll redo my eyebrows about every two weeks to keep them maintained. the first day you dye them, your eyebrows are very bold due to it dying your skin as well. But, after a day it starts to fade off of your skin and leaves your eyebrows beautiful ! OH! And there is absolutely NO burning , stinging, smell, etc. !

Don’t purchase- poorly made product.
I tint my brows every couple of weeks and have been for over 10 years. I am an avid beauty product consumer. This tint just didn’t do the job. Here’s why y’all:1.) The powder is white and it slowly develops after mixed with the gel developer; so when the mix was applied it was practically CLEAR and therefore VERY difficult to see where it was on my brow line .. inside the tint space? On the skin? On the hairs I wanted to dye and NOT on other hairs? I simply couldn’t tell and that made it more difficult to get a precise tint of the hair and the skin and to even out areas or sparseness. (I.E. whereas brown tint that is dark from the start is easy to wipe off of places outside the tint frame of your brow.)2.) The mix is clunky and pasty; it did not mix smooth. Was hard to apply with precision.3.) This is a “dark brown” tint supposedly- but even after letting it develop for a full 10 mins, it barely tinted my dark blonde brows at all. I’ll have to redo them with another product.Wish I could return. Don’t buy. Sorry Ardell, this product needs some work.

I see repeat purchases in my future
This is the only brow tint I’ve tried before, so I’m not super knowledgeable about them. I added 2 scoops of the dry dye and approximately 8 scoops of wet developer. I used the scoop to measure the dry dye, but eyeballed the developer. Mixed it till it’s frothy and mixed. Looks light beige at first. Used a brow brush and spoolie to apply to my brows and left for 10 mins. The dye turned black on my brows over time. I’ve used it 3x now. I don’t have to use brow makeup for 3-4 days. And minimal makeup for 3 more days after that. It takes two seconds to dye and clean up, so it’s definitely worth it to take 10 mins on the weekend to save make up time during the week. I used the left over dye on my gray roots around my part. I really love that you can get many uses out of one package! Sorry the picture isn’t the best.

Took a second try but I’m pleased with results.
The developer is clear which, for some reason, threw me. But I gamely gave it a shot. My first attempt to mix ended up pretty sandy and thick (pic with red background). It was nearly impossible to use and I ended up just getting clear liquid on my brows (the sandy mix just stayed on the spoolie or fell off onto the counter) and I decided to try mixing a new batch. Surprisingly, while I was mixing the new batch I looked in the mirror and realized that the first attempt had left color! So my second batch I used a bit more developer and got a thinner, but still somewhat grainy texture (pic with part of the instructions under bowl). I’m used to coloring my hair and used to the colorant being a cream form and the resultant mixture is smoother. But at least this version was easier to spread. 10 minutes later, and it definitely left color. We’ll see how long it lasts!I will say the little spoolie was not optimal for application for me. I think I’ll use a stiff slanted brush next time for more precise control over where I’m applying the dye. Also, the instructions felt a little ambiguous to me. Pea-sized is harder to estimate when the developer is as liquidy as it was. And the 4:1 developer to colorant doesn’t really match the pea-sized developer to 2-3 scoops of color powder. That kind of ends up backwards (1:4). My second batch was closer to the 4:1 ratio but I used more developer (like a nickel-size) and that was a better consistency to work with. So I recommend that you go with the 4:1 direction rather than the pea-size to 2-3 scoops direction.Overall, I’m pleased with the results. I’m glad I gave it a second shot and with the 4:1 proportion.

Triggers a Rash
Careful, you might develop an allergy to this like I have. I've been using this product for about 4 years, and over time I've developed more and more of an allergic reaction. It is now taking two weeks of itchy, red skin under my eyebrows (thankfully, mostly obscured by the brown eyebrow hairs), to go away. Sigh. I'll need to find a different product. Also, the light brown is kind of purple in hue, but it settles down to a nice shade in a few days.

Perfect
This eyebrow tint does the job. I like the soft black color instead black.I originally left on for about 12 minutes and that was a bit too long, but I followed the directions and removed just a little of the color and it worked out perfectly. Also, the price was much better at Amazon then at my other local box store.

Weird discoloration on skin after application
Honestly the directions are a little vague and its unclear if you should apply the solution right away after mixing or wait for it to change color. When I applied it right away it was like a greyish odd color and after it sat a few minutes it went dark. This resulted in my skin turning like an orange color around my eyebrows where I had shaped them to my liking rather than the dark I was thinking I would be getting. I did not like this product but maybe others will have more success. I did notice my actual eyebrow did appear darker but underneath all was orange. I also do not have sensitive skin and have had my eyebrows laminated and tinted many times professionally.
