BoseenShockproof Drum Rim Microphone Clip for Microphone Clamps Holder with Groove Gear

Not perfect, but...
These are convenient to a degree. It depends on what style rim you have. I had some difficulty getting some of them on the rims depending on where the bevel for the lug was at. One broke as I was trying to get it on. I was able to use it, but I don’t believe it should have broken. They do keep the microphones out of the way, so that’s very nice. They are not going to move once you get them on. They are tight. I like the adjustability of the whole unit as well. Not a bad device for the money.

Not recommended.
Sound Engineer here. Was looking for a knock-off Sennheiser MZH504 or MZH604 drum clip for my e604 microphones. Thought I'd give it a shot since amazon does free returns and I wasn't willing to pay for $34 (as of 12/7/16) for the sennheiser ver.Plastic is too hard and deformed on first use on three different units. Not recommended.Upon arrival I immediately tried to work the plastic a bit since I was fearful of the product deforming thanks to another reviewer's info. Then I put all three on the purchased clamps on a snare with thick die-cast triple-flanged hoops. All three warped right at the stress point. Can't recommend and would probably only work on standard thin hoops.

No the easiest to fit on a drum and weak at the stress point
Is made OK, but the weakest point on it is where the most stress is put on the clamp, so if installed on a suspended Tom which sees a lot of vibration the clamp broke after few sessions.I was using it on a suspended Floor Tom, with a Shure SM57, picked this clip as it fits the height for the space I have with the other drums, but unfortunately it didn't last long...

Same experience as others
While the geometry of the mount works well with my Audix D2's, the plastic poly material is too hard and brittle. My guess is a cost savings on the formulation for the manufacturer. Two of them cracked and separated at the clamp junction and became virtually unusable. The third one is on it's way to the same result. Was only $32 but it was pretty much a waste of money. Learn the lesson...You get what you pay for. Don't bother with these...spend the extra money for the Shure A50s or the stock Sennheisers.

save your money for a more reliable product
The plastic is brittle, and the clamps broke as I attached the to my drum hoops, not worth the money at all, if you cannot attach them to a normal drum hoop without cracking, or snapping in half.

There is such a thing as too cheap.
Did nit fit srandard DW hoops without a huge stretch. Broke the first time I tried to put it onbthe snare. Unless you have drums with abnormally narrow hoops, pass on these. I returned with one of the four broken. Didn't even use once.

I would give 0 stars but they won’t let you!
So our drumline coach asked me to purchase these for their drum set sir their drumline performances, as soon as he put them on they started to break, he has used mic clips before so it’s not that he was putting them on wrong, they were cheaply made. I had to return them cause they were horrible! I gues you get what you pay for!

Too small to work
A common problem with these clips....It was too small to clamp onto the rim of a normal Yamaha tom shell. It was useless to me.
