How well will these stones work with 20CV/M390 steel?

These curved stones will not do anything on that hard blade steel. I sent mines back because the lansky curved stones only fall apart.

While this work on kitchen knives or should I use the flat stones?

The curved stones were very soft, like sharpening with a piece of chalk
