Two boards cover our stove top
We wanted something to cover our stove top to get more counter space in a small kitchen. We ordered two of these and they cover the stove top perfectly. They are much lighter than the usual wood (white oak I think) are. We are careful to move them off the stove when cooking in the oven or on the stove top burners! But they are easy to move on and off. Bamboo takes a lot of oil (use food grade mineral oil) to treat it. We’ve been re-treating every 3-4 weeks, which is very easy to do. Just cover one side, let sit 15 minutes, then you can usually flip it to treat the other side. This help keeps flavors and stains, not to mention bacteria, on the surface and easy to wipe off. You can check a search engine to find ways to sanitize the boards. I wipe them with soapy water, then rinse (no soaking!).I’ve gotten several compliments on the boards and how nice they look! Bamboo is a sustainable material, too, besides being pretty. When it comes time to replace them, I’ll happily buy these again!

Nice cutting board
If I had not bought the incorrect size for the replacement of my cutting board, this product would’ve been perfect. Since I missed the return window, this product is now a wonderful cutting board on the countertop. Or large trivet.

Great for what I needed!
I've had this board for a few months now and wanted to give it a whirl before reviewing.I have an older place with wonky measurements (22 x 16 x 0.75). So I was concerned that finding a replacement pull out board for the kitchen would be a PITA. It was, to an extent because it did limit my choices and it seemed as if a few sellers on Amazon were my only options where it was relatively affordable as well. Was glad I found this seller selling a bamboo version with these dimensions.Unfortunately, the board I ordered had a giant crack across the short end and I was able to request a return/replacement with Amazon, which was taken care of within two days. However, the second one was fine and has been doing a great job. I also purchased food grade mineral oil to keep the board conditioned so it won't dry out and age faster. I love that it has the groove around the edges to prevent liquids from spilling over the edge- an issue I had with my old, original board. Bonus was that they included a bamboo back scratcher haha. For the value and quality, I would absolutely recommend this board. It's been doing great in the few months that I've owned it.

Well worth the money.
Full disclosure, we didn’t buy this as a replacement for an under counter board, so I can’t speak to its suitability in that role. We bought it because we needed a larger cutting board, and in THAT capacity, it has been full value so far. Cutting down large cuts of meat into steaks or chops is a lot easier, and the juice groove catches most of the mess, which means I don’t need a baking sheet under it wipe I’m working. The thing that prompted me to look for such an item, though, was cutting a 16” pizza without having to do anything awkward. So why spend this much on a cutting board when you could pick up a plastic one for a fraction of the cost? It’s a fair question, and your answers may be different than mine, but this is what did it for me.First, I spent a lot of money on my knives. Good knives are the difference between cooking as a chore and cooking as a joy. And while plastic boards are better than nothing, plastic is abrasive by nature. As a result, my knives require more honing, which shortens their useful life.Second, while most of the wood boards I’ve worked with have been hardwoods (rock maple is popular in commercial grade butcher blocks) this boards are even more expensive than this one (by a lot) and don’t have some of the lesser known (but very useful) qualities of bamboo. Bamboo is naturally anti microbial for one thing, which doesn’t mean you don’t need to wash it, just that it’s less likely to provide a home for germs when you’re not using it. Also, growing bamboo requires no cultivation — the new stalk simply grows where the old one was cut down. That means the carbon (and methane) that’s sequestered in the soil it’s growing in stays in the soil rather than the air. It also requires no chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and far less water than other crops. So in addition to the utility of having a cutting board big enough for the heavy work, I can also save wear and tear on my knives, my health, and the environment. What’s not to like?
