Perfect Overhead Solution
My podcast and vidcast needed the overhead view perspective for product demos and to show lessons within the NEC. This overhead arm fit the bill and works amazingly.

Look carefully at the picture.
Overall I like this unit but you should know:The picture shown is accurate. However I thought the horizontal arm could move up and down on the vertical rod but it can't, it's attached at the top of the vertical rod. To get the camera lower than 22" you need to pivot the horizontal arm down and then swivel the camera back to horizontal. This works but means you have to extend the arms which introduces instability. I wanted to use it for close ups and I can but it takes more fiddling than I thought it would.

Fixed Position Rig, Highly Adjustable
Extremely pleased with this rig, I've been seeking a solution for a top-down camera arm so that I can share drawings, plans and markups on Zoom/Teams calls for architectural projects. This is perfect. The rig comes partly assembled, with the bracket, vertical post, and horizontal arm. The three components are well protected in a block of closed-cell grey foam. I'm calling it "partly assembled", because there is no bag of parts, nuts, bolts, and hex wrenches. Just the three main components, and you assemble them by loosening and tightening knobs and handles. No tools required. The base bracket is super heavy, with a textured matte black finish. Clamp can open to several inches thickness, and wants to grab 2"-3" of table edge. Very comparable to a large dual-monitor bracket.Vertical post extends from 22" up to 36" above desk surface. Horizontal arm extends from 13" to 20" from the post - measured to the mounting plate. The elbow can be positioned at an angle, up or down, adding additional vertical reach (at the expense of horizontal reach).General fabrication, fit, and finish of all the parts is really good. At this price point you're definitely getting your money's worth. This could also replace a microphone stand, as long as you were going to leave it in a fixed position. Anything that can mount to a standard mounting block. You wouldn't want to mount something much heavier than a camera, as the main hinge locking mechanism has plastic ridges which might strip off if you overloaded the arm.Really pleased with this specialty product, because of it's high quality and adjustability. Great rig.

Overhead shots
These mounts are nice to have to achieve overhead shots. The lack of information on the specs here is pretty bad. They should mention the most it can support is for smartphones or smaller cameras under 4 lbs. Of course, you can use it for lights and microphones, etc.It can extend horizontally and vertically. It is C clamp similar to monitor stands. It's nice to have in your gear to make production flow easier.

Good concept. Quality needs improvement.
Four Stars.Versatile photography device.Easy setup and operation.Good stability.Very useful size.I’m deducting one star because the quality of materials and build could be better.

VERY easy to set up and use!
This is the perfect overhead camera mount for iPhones and GoPros (with adapters). Easy to set up and use, it gives you perfect adjustable, level overhead shots for photos and videos.Note: you will need to purchase a phone mount and/or GoPro threaded mount to attach to this to actually get your phone or GoPro attached- none is included. Also, even though it says it is rated for up to 3 pounds (I think)- I definitely wouldn’t trust it with any DSLR- not strong enough in my opinion.

Eh
It wasn’t adjustable to the height I needed. It was too high & could not be adjusted lower, but I’ll find use for it eventually.

Overpriced and cheaply made--it won't last long
Felt heavy and solid, however, the finished product has terrible qc which is compounded by cheap design choices. The adjustable plate cannot be removed from the c-clamp, and additionally, cannot be fully rotated. This means the plate that clamps down to the surface to prevent movement will always sit at a ~35 degree angle, perpendicular to the c-clamp.The screw used to tighten the arm to the clamp, cuts into the base, damaging the integrity of the pillar. The joints for the camera end, along with the pivoting section, are made of cheap molded plastic. This plastic is made up of a sort of gear system, which are pre-cut teeth that prevent free range of motion, thus limiting the angles you can achieve.Misaligned screw holes between base and clamp prevent square alignment of device. If you want to have the perpendicular arm at minimum height, you cannot reasonably tighten the screws, depending on the direction, because they are in the way of one another--and if you swing the arm to change directions, you'll learn (like I did) how the base screw cuts into the pillar.A fairly expensive product that is no better than the $40 options, which I initially believed could be a reasonable middle-road-choice. I am extremely disappointed with how flimsy and poorly designed this piece of equipment turned out to be.
